valid for the audience they are attempting to influence without fear of being wrong or inaccurate. I mean Ware is wrong when he makes a qb comparison dating back to Stanton and Cousins and then lumps Cook in with Michigan quarterbacks over that period and claim there is a level of sumpremacy. Based on what, winning head-to-head, overall production, individual stats or team wins during their career? What are we talking about?

I mean Stanton was opposed by Chad Henne and never beat him head to head. Denard Robinson outproduced every qb MSU

I mean except for the RR transition between Carr and Hoke, Michigan qbs have always outshined MSU rival qbs on any level or category you want to judge, stats, wins or career achievement in school and at the pro level. So, I don't even accept the suggestion that MSU qbs are now overtaking the position battle in the state as valid.

Is the next part where he proclaims Penn State to dominate the Big Ten for the next 20 years, and Hackenberg to be a Heisman lock?

Millen might be right, but he doesn't know what's going to happen any more than I do. Let's settle it on the field.

I didn't see MIllen or Ware's comments, but if it is talking heads proffering the same generic profiles of teams based upon last year's performances, I will pass.

However, by the same token, I hope the Michigan players watch these and turn them into a inspirational factor.  Even thought I think the "No one respects us" meme gets played out after a while, a skillful motivator can turn these prognostications into a rallying cry.

As they say in the stock market, the Millen top is in.

On a more serious note, MSU's schedule finally gets tough (last year's was a complete joke until last 2 games and this year aside from Oregon has all their tough games at home) in 2015, and they had a loaded 2010/2011 class (kudos to their scouting and development) but the 2012 class early returns are not so great.  Plus 2 transfers out this week alone.

So maybe Millen will mark the top (not that they will implode but just sayin)

As for PSU, fergodakes - 1 recruiting class and everyone is all over Franklin's jock.  Let's check back in 3 years.  I have no idea if he will be great, average, good, or bad... but the PSU love is over the top.  And yes we know where Matt went to college.

I have no respect for ESPN.

No stats. No fact. No data. No insight. Typical talking head nothingness.

Hey Andre ever lookup recruiting rankings of UM and MSU, obviously not from your clueless comment about MSU outrecruiting UM. How about recruiting rankings to substantiate your claim?

Millen is such a Ped State homie he can't even stay on the UM MSU topic and touts PSU. How pathetic.

Anybody who follows this site could talk circles around these clowns.

Could ESPN pick a more  duo to talk about State of Michigan Big Ten Football. Two of the biggest busts in Lion football history; the worst GM in the history of the NFL and a typical heisman first round Lion quarterback bust.

Give me Brian Griese and Chris Spielman from ESPN. Commentators I respect with actual local accomplishments!

It's over for Sparty.  This is the kiss of death, Millen's seal of approval is going to be a curse... a long, slow decline into oblivion...  whatever Millen says - do the opposite!

especially at the very top level. And then Andre chips in with MSU always has a good qb, mentioning Stanton then Cousins and forgetting about every one in between. MSU has not always had a good or great QB Mr. Ware and you should probably do a little research. You were also considered a good qb yourself, racking up unbelievable nos. in a league that might have featured on, possibly two NFL caliber dbs. But it doesn't take much to fool the Lions. Just ask Millen and Rodney Peete.  Although it would appear, judging by recent games, that MSU has been outrecruiting UM, all either would have had to do is check the recruiting rankings for the past five to six years.  Some people just shouldn't be allowed to lead a discussion where they are aware of the subject matter but simply refuse to do any research that would validate their preconceived notions leading to remarks that are totally untrue.  Then Millen, being the good PSU grad that he is, tosses the Lions in for no other reason.

I do like interviews of this nature though. It is just possible that others will listen and begin to believe these two. Ok, I might be hoping just a little too much there.

when you don't support them with any detail and never held accountable for your opinion, after all they are merely filling time and space and trying to generate clicks, commentary and debate.

The trouble with winning a Rose Bowl is creating expectations for continuing to do it. Sparty has never been good in the expectations department, Dantonio or no Dantonio. Changing perceptions is not a function of an interview in July from a studio in Bristol. It takes year of results and achievement to accomplish that.
