Thank you Hoke, Mattison and Borges

What about Borges? He called the plays for an offense that put up 40 points on Ohio for the first time in 60 years.

Absolutely, give credit where credit is due. Hoke and Mattison did a great job with the D but Borges' job on the "hybrid" offense turned out to be a work of art. Kudos to the entire coaching staff really, even beyond the HC and coordinators.

Gorgeous Al Borges deserves credit.

This doesn't deserve its own thread, but how cool is it that Mattison went up to his leaders on the DL and told them to call their own pressures and stunts for that last drive? He had full faith in them, and it showed in how they played.

Who are you? The thread Nazi?

I could be wrong, but I got the impression he was referring to his own comment. At least, I hope he was.

Haha correct

You have created a team resurgent, and I definitely like where this is headed.

8 -0 at home for the first time since 1917. That's pretty remarkable.
November 27th, 2011 at 12:53 PM ^
...but we haven't had many seasons with eight home games since 1917. Lots of great things to say about this season; this particular statistic doesn't excite me so much.

The fact that we had an abnormally large amount of home games makes this more impressive....not less.

man i just keep listening to the star wars celebration song. so fitting.

We are 10-2 and headed to a BCS bowl. Both losses came on the road in games where we had a chance to tie the game inside the opponent's ten in the fourth quarter.
Short of winning a national title, there isn't a ton of room for improvement.

And the B1G title.
