Texas & Texas A&M to B10?

Submitted by pee on freep on

So, this is "Breaking News"/Front Page in Kansas City:

http://www.kctv5.com/sports/23860558/detail.html

"High level sources in multiple conferences say that Texas and Texas A&M are looking to move to the Big Ten Conference and are in talks to join the conference, while the University of Oklahoma is planning on petitioning the SEC to become a member of its conference."

meaning they would've had to get a FAKE reporter and interview a FAKE member of the FAKE University of Missouri Board of Curators who refuses to discuss this FAKE story about conference expansion

This website is very much legit.  I also just watched the news on my television, and my eyes didn't lie as I watched them do an entire report on it (with more to come later).

It'd be one hell of an elaborate hoax because it isn't.  It's a CBS affiliate in Kansas City.  They've also been reporting from Columbia, MO (Mizzou) where panic is ensuing.

i like this scenario if it is true.

leave two spots left for ND and ?

unfortunately it is likely another attempt by a media source to gain exposure, especially since they aren't naming any names.

But, i'd be a happy Winnebago....

The Big 10 is going to very tough  ... I would expect ND to jump in here with Neb giving us 16 teams and doesn't give us 6 of the top 10 all time in wins?Holy Jeebus rumors are flying around like crazy.

How crazy would it  be to have a schedule with Texas, Penn St, ND, Nebraska and Wisky and Iowa on it plus OSU and Lil bro? Oh and throw in Texas AM as well....MAN

I feel like this is the third thread I have seen this link in.  Have the others been deleted?  I know one was discussed in the "OSU to Pac-10" thread.

I don't like it and hope it's not true.   Call me old fashioned but at least Nebraska, Missouri, Pitt, and ND have relative geographic and other ties the Big 10.  Let the Pac-10 deal with the travel costs and other planning issues of a 16 team conference that is so spread out.

I don't want UT! yes, they are a huge power and big market but they wine and complain until they get there way, because of them they broke up the OU vs.NE rivalry.

Get us playing in Texas and we will recruit better than we are now.  Texas should be scare of having Big ten schools roaming around  They will also have a hard time playing up north late in the season.
