Texas Tech QB Davis Webb transferring to Colorado
Texas Tech grad QB Davis Webb is transferring to Colorado. One item in this I did not know is that Colorado QB Sefe Liufau is expected to miss the 2016 season with a Lisfranc injury. Michigan plays Colorado in Week 3 this year.

There's the dumbest saying of all time.

There was a thread about him potentially coming to Michigan. Never heard anything but message board speculation, but regardless...he's probably an upgrade at the position.
That said, that TEAM is awful, it wasn't just the QB. Give the Buffs one more TD than before.
41-7.

They weren't as bad as you think. They lost to USC, Arizona, Utah, and UCLA in the final minutes in 2015. It will be somewhat competitive.

He's not a bad dual threat guy and holds a lot of school records. With the switch, I'm back to feeling very comfortable about this game.

I was overreacting.
I should've put the /s in there...but I figured making a prediction in January was sarcasm enough. Especially when it reads as if I thought we'd win 41-0 and this give them 7.
I'll do better next time, but you shouldn't get so offended.

Colorado went 4-9 last year. They are terrible and have been so for close to a decade. Your shrieking in terror at the sound the rampaging Buffalos is unwarranted.

Also we were still finding our way at the start of the year. If we played UNLV on January 1, we would have destroyed them.

But they were playing without their QB or 3.5 defensive starters. 3-9 Florida Atlantic took UF to overtime in November.

I seem to recall guys named Mone, Glasgow and Ojemudia not playing on our defense, either. It's football - that happens.

lol we won 28-7, didn't we...that may not be "destroying" them, but damn, people are getting spoiled.

Davis Webb is not an upgrade from Jake Rudock.
January 27th, 2016 at 8:27 PM ^
Someone said that?
I'd argue that there aren't more than a handful of QBs better for Michigan than Rudock in the 2nd half of the season. He was perfect for this team...I wish we had one more year with him.

He has thrown for over 5000 yards and 46 TD's compared to 22 INT's in his career. Colorado lost five games this year by a TD or less. This should make next year's tilt at least a competitive Big Ten vs. Pac 12 matchup.

They lost to Hawaii

Must have been thinking too much about getting lei'd.

We're also talking about a team that went 4-9 and only has one win over a P5 school. Their SRS was 87th in the country, or about the same as Middle Tennessee State or Rutgers. I hope it's an interesting game, but let's not oversell it.

Colorado might be decent next year, but as long as the QB situation for UM isn't a disaster, Colorado isn't coming here and hanging with UM for 60 minutes. With the exception of a few games, with what UM has returning I'm looking for them to be taking most teams to the woodshed next year (and Colorado is not one of the exceptions).

Harbaugh should make sure the team looks at the old Colorado Hail Mary at the Big House a couple hundred times just to make sure they are sufficiently motivated.

Michigan will absolutely crush Colorado...trust me.

Their defense sucks and their offense is ok so I'll go with 38-13 Michigan

I did not know that Liufau was out for 2016, either. Davis Webb should win that job. MacIntyre is a good coach and has been building Colorado back up slowly. Michigan will have to show up mentally and emotionally to beat them.
January 27th, 2016 at 1:40 PM ^
Webb is a good QB, but he's got a bit of a loose cannon for an arm; he can kill you downfield but put some pressure on him and he'll throw into coverage consistently. I should know; he was my fantasy QB starter for half a year before he was replaced in 2015.
That said, he's going to be a challenge for UM's defense, and Colorado is a better team than people are giving them credit. They lost a lot of close-ish games (by 8 points to Hawaii, 7 to Arizona, 4 to UCLA, 3 to USC, 6 to Utah). It won't be a roll-over.

Qualifying a loss to Hawaii doesn't help the argument that they're not a bad team.

It was the first game of the year. They look much better than they have the past couple of years.
