“None at all,” he said. “I’m done. No more.”

And how will he respond when other schools persist in recruiting him?

“I won’t respond,” said Elliott.

That seems doubtful.  College coaches are pretty busy this time of year.  I don't think they're going to waste their time on in-home visits to prospects they think they have no shot with.

Even if Elliott somehow views this as some kind of courtesy gesture, he's giving Texas a chance to make its big sales pitch.  Realistically, we're probably going to have to battle to keep his commitment through to February.

I don't think this is a big deal in general, and saying he's not fully committed because of this is laughable in the current age of crootin' (sorry TIMMMAAY). But my initial reaction is still puzzlement because he did say he was shutting everything down and would not respond to schools if they came calling.

Perhaps they sweet-talked him a little bit. Maybe he'll hear them out and send 'em packing. Maybe he hears from them a lot, they won't stop, and he wants to firmly tell them in person that he's done. Who knows? We don't, so we can't judge or worry about it.

While I like Texas, their history, their uniforms, and their place in the Texas public university hierarchy, they're currently what ... the fourth best football program in the state?

Michigan has a much better story to tell, with a much better coach, and a program that is truly ascendant.  If we lose him to Texas (and we shouldn't), he was never really committed to Michigan in the first place.

Read the recruiting roundup. He says he won't respond to advances from other programs. Well, I don't blame him. I'd look at every option, but if you're going to say it flat out, might as well plan on keeping your word.
