Let me be (inexplicably) the only OSU fan that isn't rooting for this kid to be successful. There's a "good luck Terrelle" thread going on at 11w and I'm just incredulous.

Any system that allows people like Jim Tressel and TP to redeem their bad choices with zero accountability, is a flawed one, indeed.

har har, but let me be mainly representative of the OSU fan who looks at things without the scarlet-colored glass, and there are quite a few of us, at least at 11W.

There is a fine line between being given a second chance, and being grandfathered through the system because of some inherent ability that has neither been earned, nor deserves some subsequent entitlement. When a kid messes up, I say give him a chance, but when a kid refuses to be held accountable for his actions, you won't find me in his fan club. The same goes for Tressel, despite his current employment at my hometown university. If Gene Smith was involved in the LOIC situation, I'll happily condemn him as well, and regardless, I'm not the biggest fan of Gordon Gee's business-minded policies, as applicable to the university that I attend.

If you'd kindly point out the point where I claimed to represent the majority..?

Fact is, the OSU network of fans, is one that gained tremendous size and fanaticism, and with that comes an equally tremendous amount of assholes. I hold no contempt for most of the fanbase due simply to a common goal, but believe me, I don't condone a lot of what goes on.

However, I am representative of the group of large but decided minority that holds actual bearing on the institution, and thus, are affected directly on the things that happen within the institution.

Or negged or whatever, no concern to me. That disclaimer complete, I consider myself one of the biggest fans of The University of Michigan that I know. There are asshole Michigan fans too, people. Lower percentage I hope than fans of other teams. We as reasonable people, should welcome intelligent conversation with someone who, granted is a buckeye, but someone who is a rational fan of our most hated rival. Thanks for weighing in, most fans of O are into telling us that we suck, trying to pick a fight, and then throw up on our shoes...
