This is why I love MGoBlog:  instant information and coverage from the Community (and for free).  ESPN and other sports MSM can shove it.

Given that the thread starts with a report from the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Just callin 'em like I see 'em. If it weren't for the MSM, the amount of news that blogs discuss would take a massive drop. I don't really understand all this 'hate the MSM' like it's something bad for democracy.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer could just as easily be Joe's Dawg Pound Blog and considering the health of the newpaper industry that may not be too far off. My knock on the MSM, and I don't pretend to speak for everyone, is that some jounalists make no effort to hide the fact that what they're doing is attempting to use their position to influence public opnion instead of providing unbiased and balanced reporting. The MSM is a critical component to our society that is there to shine a light on dark corners, regardless of any policitcal or social narrative.
