Ten College Football Freshmen To Watch In 2014
Found a random article posted by a random dude on the internet about his selections for the Ten Freshmen to Watch in college football for 2014. Seeing as how his list contained one Buckeye and one Wolverine (not the one you might guess, btw), I felt it might be of some interest here...
Edit: I modified the link parameters so it opens up a new window when left clicking, so people won't get shuffled off to a new site and leave the wonders of MGoBlog behind.

Were we in the top 5 for Elijah Hood as well? That name seems very familiar.

I'm quite excited, myself. I like "happy feet," but I prefer "Freddy Footwork." I cleared it with him at Youth Day, two Sundays ago. He chuckled, smiled, and said "That's cool." So, on the off chance that someone else publicly calls him that, well then I'll feel a little special.

Just thought I'd save lazy people clicks.
Jabrill got honorable mention

I was certain they had picked Jabrill just because that's the easy choice. Picking Canteen shows this guy actually did his research. I applaud in your generation direction "Brad"

Yeah, this. He did some research, or he wouldn't have known about Canteen. Kudos for that. Had he done more research, he would have learned that Canteen might not get a ton of PT, but Peppers will be on the field somewhere between 50-80% of the plays on defense.
Canteen is getting praise as being one of the better freshmen, but he's still behind a handful of guys at WR. Peppers might already be our best CB, and at minimum will be a guy seeing a majority of the snaps on D.

Kudos to the parents who named their kid Speedy Noil and he turns into a slot WR

Only it would have been 1000 times better if he turned into a 6'4, 330 lb. DT.

Or anybody fast named Walker.

You gotta love the ironic names. Also can't go without the stunningly appropriate names, like QB Chuck Long.

1. Peppers
2. Canteen
3. Mone
4. Cole
5. Bunting
6. Ways
7. Ferns
8. Watson
9. Marshall
10. All the redshirts watching from the sideline (which I hope includes #4, #7, #8 and #9)

Cole is not redshirting, Cole is starting for 4 years

at least 3 of those guys, maybe 4, are going to redshirt. So, unless you have access to Glick somehow, you'll have to wait until spring ball.

He is false in the Canteen "was a consensus three star." Canteen was 4 star to Rivals and Scout, but he was a 3 star to ESPN and 24/7. He was actually a composite 4 star on 24/7 however - thus not a consensus three star.

got picked over Peppers. But, I don't mind in the least. From the little I've seen of him, he looks so much like Mario Manningham in his abilities. If he ends up anything like that, Michigan will have a big advantage against a lot of defenses.

Glad to see Canteen get recognized. He looks every bit like the real deal, as well as a bona fide "steal" for being a 3-star recruit.
I'm just hoping Gardner has enough time to get him the ball. That's part of what worries me about our receiving corps this season. I'm confident that guys like Darboh and Canteen can step up along with Funchess, but is Gardner going to have enough time and protection to even get them the ball? I guess we'll find out over the next few weeks.

I also read that, I get the feeling he barely did any research for that article
