Ten Buckeyes submit NFL Draft paperwork

Per Mocking the Draft

http://www.mockingthedraft.com/2009/12/15/1202158/ten-buckeyes-submit-nf...

"Head coach Jim Tressel wouldn't say which players submitted paperwork, but he did say they were all starters.

That would include defensive ends Thaddeus Gibson and Cameron Heyward, linebackers Ross Homan and Brian Rolle, cornerbacks Chimdi Chekwa and Devon Torrence, tailback Brandon Saine, wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher and offensive linemen Bryant Browning and Justin Boren."

That's a lot to lose (yes, please).

EDIT: Ok, ok, so it's not OT. Now where's that emoticon with his tongue sticking out? :P

In almost direct contrast to the previous post on Chris Henry.

Let's hope that there is some type of collusion among draft experts that work in our favor....word on the street is all the Buckeyes should go pretty high in the draft.

We need to beat these guys next year. There's no question about it.

What's the offtopic policy?

In the offseason, offtopic posts are somewhere between tolerated or encouraged. During the season it would be nice if they were kept to a minimum. What counts as on- and off- topic?

When it comes to recruiting, OSU is the dirtiest school with the cleanest reputation; i.e., they get away with more than anyone. And it's athletics-wide. There's no way the Bucks are that high profile in hoops and there's no way kids are dying to play for Thad Matta. Yet, he reels in top 5 class after top 5 class. Gee, how is this happening?

And we've had so much bad karma lately, we're bound to get some good.

Kind of sad they went from playoff contender to a complete disaster in just a few years.

The Lions future looks a light brighter with Stafford and CJ than the Rams does with a washed up Bulger and a cast of undersized receivers.

The 2008 lions lost on an average score of 16.75 to 32.31 (15.56 point dif)
The 2009 rams are losing on an average score of 11.23 to 27.769 (16.59 point dif)

Its just my epinion that the Rams are now in worse shape than the Lions are.

Out of the supposed list above these are the players that should highly consider going or have a good chance of being drafted high. First off Cameron Heyward and Thad Gibson are both dominant physical players that already have NFL ready bodies and should definitely consider going now. If both of them did O State would have no returning starters on the d-line next year. Ross Homan and Brian Rolle each had good season with Rolle leading the Buckeyes in tackles this year. Still, that was only about 85 tackles or so. Both of them could greatly benefit from returning for their senior season. The only other player that would get drafted high in my opinion would be Bryant Browning. he's huge and really improved as the season went on. The others are not ready for the next level yet.
