The Ten BEST Michigan Items you own
In response to Brian's post on the most embarassing Michigan items one can own, I was curious what the BEST items out there are? Also, if available, a link to where the item can be purchased.
While my collection is paltry, the pride of my collection is still my Desmond Howard Beckett magazine that is in mint condition. I hope to one day track him down to have it autographed. This item obviously is a tad dated and will only be available through ebay / resellers.
There is also a soft spot in my heart for the Bo & Woody Commemorative coin for The Game in 2007. If you want to read about the coin, MLive did an article on it before The Game. Only 25,000 were minted, and is only available via resellers.
No scan or picture but my favorite is my Charles Woodson autographed Big House Fathead that I received from last years Mott fundraiser.
Looking forward to see seeing some really cool stuff.
Forgot my ticket stubs and my Hoke signed practice football. My bad.
I was in a picture in Sports Illustrated with Rumeal and Talley for the '89 BBall Preview issue which I had blown up to poster size and had Rumeal sign that with a personal note. I have it hanging in my office and serves as a coversation piece with all the UM alums in my office (which is a surprisingly large number eventhough I'm in NYC).
Denard signed helmet for Xmas from my now fiancé who I asked to marry me after she got that for me lol.
Ticket stubs from the 1998 Rose Bowl. All else pales in comparison.
My first thought when I read the heading was my Bo coin. Still sitting on the dresser.
Although I do not have it any longer, I used to work for the university and I did a job at the print shop on north campus and they gave me a poster they had printed of Tyrone Wheatley high stepping into the end zone with a couple Sparty players diving for him. What a great moment captured on film. Wish I still had it.
But my girlfriends Michigan bikini. And a Brady hoke signed michigan football
Does one find a Michigan bikini? My wife will have one for summer.
I guess there's a couple out there. Mden also sells one
Couple of months back there was someone asking where they could get one. Here's where some of them are-

under the Banner at his last game as a coach or my newly signed Hoke Mini Helmet. Currently in the process of moving and the fiancee is a little shocked at the precautions I'm taking to make sure they survive the move.
the 92-93 Michigan Basketball collectible trading cards I recently found in my closet back home. It would be awesome to get them signed by all the players from that year, including Rob Pelinka and Dugan.
Those are pretty cool, I've got a set around somewhere too. I don't think I've ever seen trading cards for any other college team - seems like there's an NCAA violation in there somewhere.
if they were a gift or if they were handed out at a game or something. I'm guessing if they didn't charge for them there isn't any issue.
I fairly distinctly remember buying them from the concession stand at Crisler. Even then (as a HS student) I thought it was odd that I was buying something with current players names/faces on it. I understood why I couldn't buy a "Wheatley" #6 jersey at the time, and thought it was strange that I could get a Chris Webber basketball card.
Our family has the flag waving proudly outside everyday.
1. Ticket stubs & t-shirt from the 1998 Rose Bowl
2. Lloyd Carr autographed game worn helmet
I have a football that was autographed by both Braylon Edwards and Anthony Carter that my brother got me a few years ago when he was working a fundraiser with the two of them.
My dream is to find a way to get Greg McMurtry, Derrick Alexander, and David Terrell to add their autographs to it. (I suppose if I bumped into Tyrone Butterfield in the grocery store I might be inclined to have him autograph it too.....in very small print.)
I have a ball signed by Braylon, AC, Terrell and Derrick Alexander. Not going to pursue McMurtry although I see him often. He lives in Oakland County.
I have a picture of me and Braylon that was taken the night Josh Cribbs had a private party at the bar I managed. Despite what many think, Braylon was a very cool guy, and so was Cribbs. Jurevicious was also there, but I didn't speak with him much. Most of the football players I met through my years at the bar were giant tools. The biggest tools though would have been Terelle Pryor and Jake Stoneburner.
My other prized Michigan items would be the pin and ticket from the rededication against UCONN and my 2 year olds Michigan jersey replica that I got last year at one of the games.
Can I count the drool spot where I stroked out in front of the TV for the UTL game?
I have a drawing of a Wolverine, signed by Bo and Dan Canham. Also, my Bob Ufer cd's rank pretty high....its good to be BLUE!
Does it by any chance look like this? if so, I have #798/1000 hanging in my office.
I know Tate isn't a all time QB here or anything but I really like the art he signed for me. I have things that are worth more(Braylon Auto, Mike Hart Autos ect) but its just neat imo
Devin also signed my 7 jersey that day. Got Denard to sign a photo too. I may try and get him to sign my Super Sonic 16 art work this fan day.
Michigan football family tree
from the greatest university in the world!
I am very proud of mine as well. I gotta get it framed!
Good Time Charley's menu signed by Charles Woodson the Wednesday before the '97 Ohio State game. It's one of the old, paperstock ones. He was doing an interview there and I was having a few drinks before my late English comp class.
Congratulations.
1. A hat from the Millie Schembechler golf out with Bo's autograph that is personalized to my father.
2. A Denard jersey signed that is personalized to me.
3. A Bo autographed 8x10
4. Every home game ticket from the year I was born.
5. Every bowl game ticket that UM has played in.
6. I am hoping to acquire the original photo from the 1969 OSU game with Bo, Crisler and Oosterbaan's autograph on it. Only missing Kipke and Bump.
7. Signed 16x20 of captains from Team 132.
8. Signed 16x20 of Brock Mealer coming under the banner.
1. My ticket stub from 2008 vs. Wisconsin, because it reminds me that good things did happen that season, and also that I stayed.
2. My felt wall hanging here with four Michigan logos on it stretching from 1922 Bear-In-A-Sailor-Hat to 1984's Split Block M.
I have that same wall hanging! it's pretty cool.

My student season ticket stubs from the 2011 season, which I plan to frame one day

A few other highlights in my Michigan mancave include over 70+ signed photos, 11 total jerseys, replica of Michigan stadium Franklin Mint, various Michigan banners from the MDen, Authentic Michigan full size helmet, panoramic photo of the 100th Michigan/Ohio game and aTime magazine of Tom Harmon from the 40's to name a few.
It's definitely the best room in my house. Been collecting for awhile.
Congrats! You're the first person on this thread to correctly count to 10. Even the OP didn't make it this far.
I think you should post some pictures of your man cave.
Yeah I was actually thinking of doing that or posting a video to YouTube that could be linked. There's quite a few things that I even missed when naming the ten as well as the others. Its pretty intense. I'm always thankful that my wife allowed me to take over the basement with all my Michigan stuff.
EDIT: can't forget one of my other most prized possessions. My boxer Maize who wears a Michigan collar, Michigan leash, has a Michigan diner set (water bowl and food bowl) and has a few Michigan play toys.
I have a small collection of dollar bills signed by folks such as Anthony Carter, Rick Leach, Dan Dierdorf, Bo and a few others. This was inspired by an old neighbor of mine who would mail ones and fives to fellow alumni and alumnae ( including former athletes) and ask them to sign and return them. I simply strive to get it done in person, if possible.
Two things:
1. On our wedding day, my wife got a banner, similar to the one below, signed by most of Team 132. I don't think there's room for literally everyone, but Denard signed it, as did Devin, MM, RVB, Roh, and many others. She gave it to me in front of everyone during our wedding reception. Definitely one of the best gifts ever!
2. This jersey (bought from Moe's!):
I have no problem saying the jersey is for Braylon, but I'm looking forward to when I'll be able to say it's for a current member of the team.
On our wedding day my wife wore a Michigan garter. Had to toss that one but she bought two so I was able to save the other. Now it's sitting in my Michigan mancave.
That's how my wedding this last September went down too.
3. woodson signed michigan picture framed up.. its bigger then a 16x20
2. all of my last 12 years of team signed helmets
1. my authentic winged helmet signed by michigan legends.. still in progress but its signed by

Dirt and grass painted yellow (part of the "M") from the endzone where Woodson returned the punt for a TD vs. Ohio.
That would be amazing. That was the day I became a michigan fan forever.
it is just sitting in a ziplock baggie right now...I wish I had a cool way to display it. I also have dirt from Tiger stadium from the RH batters box. I love dirt I guess.
If that
Dirt and grass painted yellow (part of the "M") from the endzone where Woodson returned the punt for a TD vs. Ohio.
Cool. How do you store/display it?
Discussions with Bo about moving around Carlos Brown and Jonas Mouton.
and my Ty Law/Tom Brady mini helmet that goes with my Ty Law/Tom Brady signed football. It is probably a tie between those three for #1. 2) Tom Brady signed helmet. 3) Signed Tom Brady 8x10 4) 16X20 Charles Woodson signed print. 5) Signed Denard 16x20 6) Signed Denard 8x10 7) Signed Mike Hart 8x10 8) Signed Lamar Woodley 8x10 9) Signed Braylon Edwards 8x10 10)Charles Woodson and Tom Brady McFarlanes
To go along with many more signed prints of other guys. I am also ashamed to say I have the FOX bot..........
A framed piece of paper signed by Bo. (Mom ran into him at UM hospital in 1987 and got him to sign it. She said he couldn't have been nicer. But all she had on her was a red pen. So Bo wrote, "Go blue, not red.")
Autographed photo of Don Moorhead. (QB who led the win over #1 Ohio in 1969. He was my step-nephew's gym teacher at Paw Paw High School before retiring last year.)
Ticket stubs to 2004 Braylonfest and 2005 Penn State.
1997 national championship football. (Maybe one day I'll find a player from that team to sign it.)
Picture of me with Lloyd Carr at the conclusion of Spring game 2005. (Good friend of mine who is on the alumni board personally introduced us to each other.)
A couple hundred games on DVD and VHS. I'm going to count them all as one.
I'm envious. Awesome keepsake.
