Temple F Anthony Lee transferring to Ohio State
Temple forward Anthony Lee told ESPN today that he will be transferring to Ohio State. Lee, a 6' 9" power forward, was one of the most sought-after transfers on the market. His finalists included Iowa State, Indiana, Louisville and Notre Dame, although many schools came calling when he announced his transfer from Temple.
Lee was coveted by Indiana with Vonleh going pro. Tom Crean has some great potential players in his backcourt, but Indiana's frontcourt is a cratering hole now with Jeremy Hollowell, Austin Etherington and Luke Fischer transferring this year.
The next big Midwest transfer prospects to look out for is West Virginia sophomore guard Eron Harris who supposedly will consider Michigan among other Big Ten schools, and Virginia Tech freshman forward Trevor Thompson.

He's a graduate transfer, so he gets to play immediately, of course and I would imagine that OSU is looking for someone with Lee's sort of experience to help anchor the class they've got coming in, which is a nice class on paper. You don't see graduate transfers with Lee's stats all the time, so I would think the doors would have been open anywhere really. Nice pickup indeed.
As a Temple alum and supporter/observer of the program I think Ohio State is picking up a decent player in Lee. Not going to be all B1G but he's experienced. It remains to be seen how he fits in Matta's system at Power Forward (he's been absolutely abused the past two years as an undersized center at TU). As well, the AAC is not the B1G in terms of competition top/bottom although, certainly, Louisville is no slouch, for example.

Does anyone know if a person graduated from the first school with two years eligibility left (say a redshirt who graduates in three years), if they would be able to play two years without sitting at the new school? Or is it a maximum of 1 year?
I don't know for sure, but I would guess the player would still retain 2 years of eligibility. ....Otherwise it just seems like an unnecessary penalty attached to a rule designed to make it easier for student athletes to find the grad school they want.
You are immediately eligible and have 2 years of eligibility remaining. Two examples of players like this: USC QB Max Wittek and Indiana F Austin Etherington. Both redshrited their first year and graduated in three years.
It's too bad......that he's going to spend his senior year getting his ass kicked by Michigan.
