Teaser on Jernigan at Scout
According to the board,Tim Jernigan dropped Michigan However, there is a Teaser headline at Scout asking Is Michigan still Alive for Jernigan? Can anyone shed light on this? DT is now one of our greatest areas of need, perhaps the greatest. To have the opportunity to add Jernigan would be massive for the team right now.

I believe the chances of us getting Jernigan are the same as TP selling that stuff for his mom...

Thought you were telling us Jernigan was tasered.

I think this is just Scout trying to keep a story alive. Unless we switch to a 4-3, I don't believe Jernigan wants to come here.

Tim's coach said he was down to 4 not the Jernigans. They plan at being at at least one bowl practice that is open to the public. They are very concerned with whether RR will be back or not. IMO Jernigan could easily play DE for us which would eliminate being double teamed all the time.

That may be true, but we really don't have needs at DE like we do at DT.

Hey - thanks for posting.
I'll just stay right here and keep refreshing while the porn starts coming up.

Same thing was said WTKA this morning during the Recruiting Roundup.

His dad said he has not dropped Michigan. Michigan is still in his top 5, just waiting to see what happens with RR.

Last I read was that Michigan was still in for Jernigan. I think it was talked about on the board a few days ago. It'd be awesome to have him in this class. Everytime I hear his name I just think of the BIG TIME TIMMY JIM sportscenter commercial

Who ya got?

The captain has a faster 40 time but Fred Flintstone carries a club.
Flintstone's my choice. If someone transfers though, then we might have a spot for the captain as well.

Flintstone is freaking fast, he just needs a couple seconds of spinning his legs before he takes off.

We still have 0 chance IMO, but apparently he will be checking out some of our bowl practices.
December 23rd, 2010 at 4:06 PM ^
RR might recruit might recruit Duffman as our next super recruit.
December 23rd, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
we have 0 chance, then why would he bother taking in bowl practices?
December 23rd, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
what kid doesn't want to play on the line in a 3-3-5 and get triple teamed every play by the center and both gaurds.

If it makes anyone feel better, Scout has an article up about Darian Cooper no longer having Michigan on the outside looking in. Apparently we're in better shape with him than most had perceived. Cooper's probably a better shot than Jernigan, whether Cooper's opinion of UM has changed or not.

Thanks
<br>There is much riding on the bowl game, which is good.

I thought distance was more of the factor for Jernigan? Hopefully we do get out of the 3-3-5 do we can get some elite DT's
December 23rd, 2010 at 6:05 PM ^
it isn't Xs and Os, it's jimmies and joes. but i think we can all agree that we want out of the 3-3-5 if it means getting rid of GERG. it may not be Xs and Os, but GERG is using foreign letters.
December 23rd, 2010 at 6:10 PM ^
who wanted to run the 3-3-5? I may be wrong but I thought he had a large say in the switch?
But yes, I agree. Let's get back to some hard hitting normal Big Ten D.

The coach was the one who claimed USC and Michigan had been dropped, not the family. It's true that he would like to shy away from the 3-3-5 but that's still not keeping him away completely. It's also true that his family would prefer him playing closer to home.
Rivals never took Michigan out of Jernigan's top group and I don't think Scout did either. I think we have a good shot with either Jernigan or Cooper based on our high need for D lineman. The coaches will pull something off. It's no secret, we desperately need one in this class.
