Tears of Unfathomable Sadness for Ohio & Sparty Scenario
Auburn destroys Missouri.Ohio gets a lucky win in a close, dull, controversial game (MSU gets called for a shady pass interference penalty late in 4th Qrt.) BCS voters put Auburn ahead of Ohio.A bitter Ohio goes to Rose. Urban cries to the media about Auburn being chosen ahead of Ohio and is roundly critisized for being a hypocritical crybaby.Ohio gets beaten badly by Stanford/ASU.Sparty goes to Cap1or Outback Bowl and loses big.

A troll.
December 6th, 2013 at 7:26 PM ^
I don't think he sounds like a troll at all. We are 7-5, and it isn't a good 7-5.
December 6th, 2013 at 7:24 PM ^
the interior line is young! We just didn't execute properly! It's Rich Rod's fault! We were almost 11-1!
December 7th, 2013 at 12:56 AM ^
We went 7-5
Seven and fucking 5 Period
Not a good Haiku
December 7th, 2013 at 9:31 AM ^
for sure
Some here are happy to have played the game "close"
Keep that in mind
December 6th, 2013 at 7:27 PM ^
I'm not sure who I'll root against until the game begins. Then, for some reason, something will kick in and I'll find myself taking a side. Not sure which one just yet.
December 6th, 2013 at 7:42 PM ^
This argument is so bad it's not even funny. Ohio did just "beat" an unranked team they were supposed to win by double digits by just 1 point. What happened to that Ohio team? They increased their BCS rating from 3 to 2.
Do I really have to remind you that the team they beat was us?
Common man...

My biggest fear is FSU *and* OSU losing resulting in an Auburn/Missouri vs. Alabama MNC game.
Win or lose Sparty's in the Rose Bowl. Good on them, they figured out their offense and beat a bunch of turrrible teams this year.
December 6th, 2013 at 11:02 PM ^
This would suck most of all. For so many reasons, not least of which would be the media build up for an Auburn/Alabama rematch.
December 6th, 2013 at 7:47 PM ^
outcome is for Ohio to beat Sparty, and for Ohio to lose to someone in the championship game. Sparty can't claim our goal, few remember who lost a given championship, and sending a team to the championship is good for the conference.
December 6th, 2013 at 7:52 PM ^
and I have some good MSU friends too, so I have no problem rooting for either.
December 6th, 2013 at 8:01 PM ^
Why is everyone so quick to dismiss Mizzou? They are an OT game with their back up qb away from being the front runner for the MNC. That's a damn good team.

This:
Dantonio: "This didn't start last February. This started on Nov. 26, 2006, when I became the head coach at Michigan State."
It will interesting to see what happens when Narduzzi heads out on his own. Maybe he and Tressel can co-coach.
December 6th, 2013 at 8:34 PM ^
State will still be decent without Narduzzi. I said this before, when Dantonio left Ohio for Cincy, so did Ohio's defense. Since then, they haven't been the same.
December 6th, 2013 at 8:43 PM ^
Sad that we are reduced to hoping for this, instead of ya know actually competing for titles ourselves...
December 7th, 2013 at 12:43 AM ^
It's only been...*counts on fingers*... uhh guys, i'm gonna run out of fingers here pretty soon
December 6th, 2013 at 10:54 PM ^
How about MSU beats Ohio goes to Rose Bowl and gets destroyed, while OSU goes to some other bowl and gets crushed
December 6th, 2013 at 11:00 PM ^
1. Sparty gets blown out by OSU so that they fall to 15 and don't make the Rose bowl or any other BCS bowl. Sparty loses whatever Florida based bowl they end up in.
2. OSU gets blown out in the Championship game by FSU. The Buckeyes, in frustration, have a number of guys thrown out for fighting at the end of the game.
Perfect!
December 6th, 2013 at 11:18 PM ^
And yet, both teams beat ours, so regardless of what happens, they still get the last laugh.
dumb
December 7th, 2013 at 8:57 AM ^
Michigan had an awful season. We get it. We're trying to make ourselves feel less bad about that by concocting various scenarios of what would give us the most schaedenfreude.
December 7th, 2013 at 1:11 AM ^
OSU or msu wins in a slugfest. Auburn gets crushed by mizzou and the sec loses all of their bowl games. Big ten wins all of theirs. As much as I dislike osu, im so sick of hearing how good auburn is. They won on two miracle plays.
December 7th, 2013 at 2:52 AM ^
You spelled out an acceptable scenerio! I now have something to root for!!
December 7th, 2013 at 7:27 AM ^
Ohio already recruits at a very high level. I can't see them making the NCG game having much of a long term impact. MSU, otoh, stands to have their image upgraded and get a long term boost in recruiting. I'd rather see MSU lose. There are more MSU folks around me, which is another reason to want them to lose.
December 7th, 2013 at 7:36 AM ^
Not because I love Sparty but because I want Mizzou in the NC game. I grew up rooting for Missouri as much as Michigan since my parents and my sister all went there, and my granddad taught in the physics dept. there for many years.
Of course MIzzou has their own job to do, which is beating Auburn, which might be one of those damn teams of destiny that gets every important break their way.
December 7th, 2013 at 9:00 AM ^
I think Auburns break already came and went. I have a feeling everyone outside of the SEC footprint and ESECPN will lose their minds if Auburn leapfrogs a 25-0 team over the past couple of years.
December 7th, 2013 at 10:26 AM ^
Sick of SEC.
December 7th, 2013 at 11:09 AM ^
it would be best a big ten team beats an SEC team for the title.
if we are really going to get better, and compete for titles, we need the system to be willing to vote big ten teams into the playoffs.
December 7th, 2013 at 6:48 PM ^
Ohio winning the national championship wouldn't hurt the Big Ten's reputation, but I really don't think people are going to be convinced the B10 is a good conference if the rest of the teams go 1-7 in bowls
December 7th, 2013 at 11:36 AM ^
Sparty wins, crushes ohio's season. Sparty gets summarily demolished in Rose Bowl game vs Stanford. Ohio has another scandal (there's always one brewing down there) and loses major players and gets smashed in a BCS game vs (insert opponent), FSU defeats any SEC team in NC game, Michigan blows out decent opponent in whatever lame bowl we go to. Nick Saban goes to Texas, Hand comes to UM. All becomes right in the universe.
December 7th, 2013 at 12:05 PM ^
Rose Bowl berth. Pretty sure we'd love to be in that situation right now.
