Team 135 Captains - Who Do You Got?

I've been wondering about this for the past few weeks, so I'm curious who you all think will be leading Team 135 this season. Will we go back to two captains, as I believe Hoke would want, or could we see something different?

I'm guessing we go back to two this season, and my guess is Ryan for defense, and Gardner for offense. But who do you got?

I doubt Glasgow gets the nod after his offseason incident. Besides DG and JMFR, I think maybe Taylor or Clark on D, and Miller or Kerridge on O (not many choices here).

If there is a surprise, I would think it would be a senior and long-time starter like Morgan or Beyer (wow, I cannot believe either of them are seniors)

Despite the lack of "push" to be a leader in previous years (aka keeps to himself; it's not a bad thing), Gardner is practically the only offensive senior. If he doesn't get one, it would be shocking.

I like DG and JMFR similar to when it was just Denard and Kovaks.  Plus don't they have a leadership counsel now? I'm sure Frank Clark and some of those guys are on it and every class is represented.

Yeah, I will echo the vote for Devin Gardner and Jake Ryan. It seems to me that these two in particular represent the character and drive of this team particularly well and are good at motivating those around them to give as much as they can to the team. I would agree with others as well that, if there is a third, it should probably be Frank Clark, though I do like the idea of Blake Countess in that role as well. 

It seems like we usually don't know who it will be until late in fall camp. I will definitely be interested in the selections this time around.

But yeah, I agree with others that say it's Clark, Ryan, and Gardner. Those are the three guys Hoke constantly talked leadership about. If it was anyone else, I'd be shocked.

Well others have said my opinion of Devin and Jake but what I find interesting is the consensus at least on this forum. I wonder if A) the team will have this kind of consensus and B) if this will help with the leadership, chemistry whatever issues we have heard so much about last year's team.

You know your offense is young when you can't think of any legitimate choice for captain aside from Gardner. I suppose Kerridge could be an option, but after that .... Funchess? ...?

id say ryan, clark and gardner like many others listed.  i do recall reading something about raymon taylor and ryan meeting with addidas reps and selecting their alternate uniforms and the new team gear for this year...our captains used to always do that stuff so maybe taylor

I'd say at this point it better be DG and JMFR.  Maybe Clark as a 3rd.  I was pretty surprised and disappointed that DG hadn't earned the rigth to be a captain last year.  If he isn't this year, that would make me stop and think.  The thoughts wouldn't be good that I would be thinking either.
