If I sound like I'm saying "Bar fights are cool," I'm not, but man...that is truly sad *IF* he was goaded into this altercation by the OSU fans and he's the only one getting in trouble and no one is calling bullshit on their account of it. Michigan fans goading an Ohio State football player in a bar in Columbus the night Michigan beat them at the 'Shoe would be literally (as in actually literally, not figuratively literally) endangering their continued existences.
I realize if he's the only one who threw a punch it doesn't matter what the Buckeyes did, he should be charged. I'm just saying I can't believe they were unintimidated enough to try starting shit with a Michigan football player in an Ann Arbor bar.
He should take it to a jury trial and any jury in Ann Arbor who would side in Favor of a buckeye fan should be immediately moved South until you smell it! It seems to me like people are making a bit too big of deal about this. I have never been much of a fan of this kid but I think most of us who have attended a Michigan-ohio game can understand how something like this can evolve kind of quickly.

...I don't think witness/jury intimidation is the card to play here.
At least Lewan decided to assault oh*o fans after his Michigan career was over, as opposed to before last season. Can you imagine how (much more) horrid last season would have been had this happened earlier?
So a couple of days ago most of us were okay with Lewan, now he gets charged with a crime and he's the worst thing that ever happened here. Okay.
And to this day I still wish he was our coach!
This is always hilarious on the board. Someone, M or not, gets involved in a legal situation, and all the m go lawyers/speculators come out of the woodwork to put in their two cents.
Would gladly have ceded my seat in law school to one of you m*****, but nobody but the people being attacked on this site would have a snowball's chance of getting through.
For me, 25 years of criminal law was enough, now I just read m go blog, or watch Nancy Grace, or, whatever…

Really you guys are ripping him like this for a fight? Yeah he may not have been a great guy off the field but is there any reason to talk down about a guy who has been nothing but a "michigan man" his entire time, came back to the school to try and win and has been a mainstay on the offensive line for how many years. the way you people talk he destroyed the program and really made us worse by coming here
