This is cool and everything, but can someone please tell Tate just to get his grades together and quit with all the drama queen shit?

  1. Tate Forcier #5 - A Michigan Man Forever - Go Blue
  2. I promise the Michigan family and fans I will make you proud again.
  3. With that being said, its time for me to go.
  4. I really wanted to stay. I was not giving up on Michigan, but in the end, it was made clear they had given up on me.
  5. The last few weeks I worked extremely hard to catch back up.
  6. I am proud to have been part of Michigan Football history and will always cherish the memory.
  7. I even competed hard while injured as a true freshman through the last (8) games in 2009, but I always played the game giving it my all.
  8. I had fun celebrating with the fans.
  9. I can proudly state,“I worked hard on the practice field, in the film room and at meetings” after all, football is my passion.
  10. In summary, I believe, I will become a better student and a person of stronger character from these experiences at Michigan.
  11. Don’t wait to ask God into your life as he will help you see things clearer.
  12. Be grateful for what you have and be humble for your successes.
  13. I do hope all my young fans forgive me and benefit from my lessons that I have learned.
  14. It was not until then, I realized that it was my lack of accountability and maturity and not to pass blame.
  15. I had to reach rock bottom in order to see the light, and for that, I am thankful.
  16. The humility of it all is indescribable and that is exactly my point.
  17. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to give up or feel the victim.
  18. I’ve been kicked, pushed, knocked down, publicly berated, belittled, emasculated and more.
  19. Why do we all wait until we are at our lowest point to seek God’s help?

Tate -- maybe, just maybe, you should've
1) gone to class
2) not partied every night of the week, especially as a freshman
3) not been infamously known on campus as being a pothead
4) not said that "Michigan gave up" on you.

Now, I'm rooting for Tate to get it together (as long as he's not in Scarlett and Gray), but the beginning of this "press conference" was good, but then he starts to passive-aggressively bash Michigan.  Not cool.

Oh Tate, I have no problem with these tweets.  I have no problem with your turning to God as redemption.  I really want to support you through this, but:

"I really wanted to stay. I was not giving up on Michigan, but in the end, it was made clear they had given up on me."

Not cool.  Or... it means Hoke told him to get lost.  In which case, maybe he should have said this and been clear.  I bet his pride prevented him from doing so.

I'll try not to let this sentence get in the way of my wishing you well.

We'll always have ND 2009.

In other words, you have no idea why Michigan may have given up on him, but "it's not cool"?

Hey, way to judge a kid!  You, just like the others calling him a drama queen for this post, really don't know the details, yet it doesn't stop you from pulling out the snark and unloading on him.

I wish Tate the best, and this was a far classier departure than Boren's, for example.

What's your point?  I never said I had no idea why Michigan might have given up on him.  I said that was a possibility.  He sent out the tweet-release.  I think I have the right to judge him the way I did.  Hey you, #1, way to judge me, a kid (I'm not yet 40, that's a kid to Mattison).  What gives you that right?

And for god's sake, don't compare him to Boren.  No one else has.  That's just stupid.  I'm still anticipating Boren's public karmic downfall.  He's worse than Tressel.  Worse than TP.

As I said, I'll try not to let that statement - which to me sounded too much like blaming UM - stand in the way of me wishing him well.  It's pretty negative to say UM gave up on him.  It could be said that UM watched Tate fuck himself and decided that they weren't going to go out of their way to bring him back to the university - he was, after all, no longer a Wolverine player or student.  They didn't give up as much as they simply watched Tate force himself out.

Too bad, really.  Good luck, Tate.

Never mind, in the time it took to write my original post, all my questions had been answered above me. As a thank you (and since I can't delete my original post), here's a picture of a cat that appears to be peeing standing up:

If that is what he means by "asking for God's help," it just might work.  But there are no guarantees.  I just hope he continues to grow and manages to amalgamate his feces soon.

Sounds to me like he's gonna transfer after reading that last message.

I hope this doesn't end with him saying, "So I've decided to take my talents to South Beach and play for Al Golden".
