Tate to Mathews
All the sports team I cheer for have spent the past decade crushing my soul, so I have always considered Henne to Manningham the greatest sports memory of my life. It has been topped. Someone get this on youtube so I can use it to cheer me up whenever I'm sad.

Great to see Mathews make a game winning play like that....

Both were great plays. I think Henne's is #1, and Tate's is #1a, just because today we could have still kicked a tying FG.
Nonetheless, Mathew's was a hell of a catch! I also wanna get some highlights on YouTube ASAP!

FORCIER TO MATHEWS.

Dreisbach to Hayes, a personal favorite.

I love me some Mercury Hayes. Is that a WR name or what?

Henne to Manningham, no?

Don't forget Jackson to Weathers, Ohio State QB Stanley Jackson's pick-six to Andre Weathers in the 1997 OSU game.

I always loved Jason Avant, so Matthews as Avant 2.0 is fine with me.
What a catch!

It's MATHEWS. There is only one T.

I'm never gonna spell it wrong again!!

Woa, you guys need to relax. Sparty is dominating us for in-state recruits.
September 12th, 2009 at 7:50 PM ^
Would it be wrong to say I feel like Mich won 2 games today?
September 12th, 2009 at 7:51 PM ^
Instead, you should hold a moment of silence.
September 12th, 2009 at 8:25 PM ^
Eh, that's kind of a Sparty attitude. MSU losing worth a hearty chuckle, but I'll never put it on the level of a Michigan win.
September 12th, 2009 at 7:56 PM ^
MSU is THE school in this state....riiiiiiight
i cannot party enough tonight!
September 12th, 2009 at 8:04 PM ^
Were getting the best commitments from in state. And were focusing more on the south, where the speed is...

WOOOOOOOSH
September 12th, 2009 at 7:48 PM ^
What makes this touchdown so special isn't just the specific game context (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!), but the larger context of the program. After the slow decline and the disastrous 3-9 season, this is the sort of thing that can help define an entire era. This can help make Michigan RichRod's program.

Oh yeah....OH YEAH!!!
September 12th, 2009 at 8:02 PM ^
You could see the tears in Lou Holtz eyes. You could see the glee shimmering off Mark Mays balding head.
EDIT: you could see the cream in my pants.

Trust me, sitting in a house with Ohio State fans and alums only and going down 3 with little time to go ... well needless to say this is a great feeling today.
September 12th, 2009 at 8:05 PM ^
is now officially born. What a game! Tate Forcier has the most incredible poise I've ever seen in a true freshman QB. Unbelievable win!
September 12th, 2009 at 8:07 PM ^
...has a sore throat from cheering. All in for Michigan. In Rod We Trust.
Great f'n game.
Go Blue!!!!!!
September 12th, 2009 at 8:12 PM ^
I have a migraine and an extremely sore throat from screaming all day. The best and most maddening game ever.
September 12th, 2009 at 9:30 PM ^
voice and sore nuckles wen i punched the ceiling on accident wen jumping up and down
September 12th, 2009 at 8:17 PM ^
My voice is so hoarse screaming at the Pallazzo casino Sports bar! It was awesome having a few Wolverine supporters there and a bunch of Irish being silent at the end of the game!
September 12th, 2009 at 8:29 PM ^
He was clutch twice on that final drive. OMG, that was friggin awesome.
September 12th, 2009 at 8:33 PM ^
Seeing Forcier today, I couldn't think of a good comparison other than Roethlisberger in his rookie season for the Steelers. He actually made plays, not just "managing games" like other rookie qbs. And while Henne was great as a freshman he didn't dominate games the Forcier did at points today.

the play wasnt so spectacular, but i agree the context was huge.
if you watch a classic michigan game from the past decade that we won, almost inevitably the game is won on a spectacular reception at the end of the game. usually involving some sort of fade pattern (which is more aesthetically pleasing than a simple out route). i believe edwards and terrell both had some goodies of this kind. and of course manningham in the state game was classic.
guys, i think in the next 4 years tate will surpass this one once or twice.
