Tale of a twosie - another great Daily article
Not a lot of football content, but any article that includes Lewan and Chris Brown is worth a read.
they probably shouldn't have printed that. i'm guessing taylor's about to turn up back down there with another hundred bucks.
could have a field day if the NCAA worried about what Lewan paid for an old, used, bike.
Meh, they set up that the bike was bought as more of a favor to the elderly couple that originally owned it, a kind of bike that the store doesn't usually deal in. Also tandem bikes are extremely expensive, so I'm sure a "borderline antique" bike would probably be the cheapest he's every sold a bike.
I bet Tandem bikes are going to start selling like hotcakes now
I hear they're selling well in Ohio.
In ohio.
Great article.
Tim Rohan better get a damn good job in sports journalism if that's what he wishes to pursue. He, and the Daily, have written some wonderful columns this year.
The story of David Molk and his mother had to be one of the best articles regarding Michigan football I read in quite some time.
Rohan's headed to intern with the New York Times this summer. Is already writing some stuff for them. Everything I see from that kid is an epic. He's got a heck of a future.
I definitely saw two guys riding this very bike down by the Huron River on Main St. about a week and a half ago, and thought it was one of the most out-of-place things I've ever seen. I don't think it was Lewan, but it was definitely two athletic-looking dudes riding a powder blue tandem bike in the middle of the afternoon.
Frankly, full of win.
I dropped a pretty moribund twosie this morning after my second cup of coffee.
That's a great article--all the funny presser quotes about the bike had been used up already, so how smart to do a little more work and get the story of the bike, the bike shop, and its purchase. Good stuff, I hope Tim Rohan goes far.
