Tailgating Advice

Submitted by LLoydsFrown on
Need help one last time, fellas. I'm trying to decide where to setup shop. I'm bringing some friends who have never been and want to show them a good time. Where should I tailgate? My plan was the golf course. How long will I have to wait after the game to get out of that mess? What time do I need to get there by? Also, how late can you keep your car there that night? Thanks in advance! If you all have better suggestions I am up for whatever please let me know, thx. Happy 90210 day.

Get there around 9-9:30 to get a sweet spot. You can stay there for an hour after the game ends (which I did last year). I don't think they are too strict on that hour, but you can re-fire up the grill and eat afterwards.

The issue is traffic. It's an absolute monster to leave that area. It's unavoidable at the golf course, however.

I love the golf course ive been tailgatjng there a few years now. Check out aagoc.org for all the rules. I like to get there about 7:30 so I can get a decent spot near the gate for the drive home. I've only entered through main st so not sure about the other gate on stadium. You can stay up to 2 hours after the game.

Golf course is where I'll be but I also recommend tailgating in the parking lot by Yost and the track off of State St.  It's a good spot, not much room though if you don't get a spot that backs up to the lawn.  That's a good alternative to the golf course.  It's a fun walk, too.
