So far he couldn't hold Leaf's jock strap. Leaf was a dominant college QB at least. Mallett still has a lot of work to do in the accuracy department. He probably has a stronger arm though. Mallett has the strongest arm I have seen in a college QB. The thing is a howitzer.

Mallett just overthrew his receiver, who subsequently got destroyed by the safety.
Arkansas has struggled against any team who has put defensive pressure on the line.

Mallett has thrown for a shitload of yards this year. He's the best in the SEC in that regard.
Clausen's better, but Melltt is still really damn good.

he stacked up his stats against weak opponents. yes he can rifle the ball but he threw for something like 34% against the teams they lost to

He finished 17/39 tonight. Tacopants had 22 catches, but NCAA rules state that his stats cannot be counted toward QB statistics.

i watched the game from begin to end and he's lucky to not have gone 12-13/39 with 2-3 INTs

If Mallet can improve his accuracy and keep the attitude in check, he'll be a first rounder in 2011 draft.

Yeah he has a tremendous arm if he can learn to control it better...I was impressed with his presence in the pocket, he moves around in there pretty well which would be a huge asset in the NFL.
