T-Shirt Idea
I mentioned this in one of the Notre Dame-Big Ten expansion threads but I thought I would make a post on it. A thought popped into my head a few weeks ago for a t-shirt. In addition to the "Our Brady Doesn't Suck", "Rudy Sucks" shirts I was thinking of another Notre-Dame related one. The caption would read:
"Jesus is a Michigan Man"
And the picture could be the Touchdown Jesus pose with Jesus wearing a block M hat. I think it would be particularly sacrilegious/obnoxious for a bunch of us Michigan fans to wear them in South Bend when we play them there.
If Jesus is a Michigan man the Freep will find a way to nail him to the cross.

Where is the Brady t-shirt. I haven't seen that one but it sounds fantastic.
I saw them my freshman year when Brady Quinn played at the Big House. They were rather popular.
Thou shalt not miss bowl games
umm glass houses man, glass houses. In 2 years when we rule the world again, then we can go back to making fun of ND for missing bowl games.
We can make fun of them even if they field a national championship team. They're NOTRE DAME.

We don't have a license... can't use the winged helmet. Sorry.
Since Michigan's student population is approx a third Jewish, I thought it would be really to see a t-shirt that says "Michigan vs. Notre Dame: The Jews vs. the Gentiles"
In the 80s, when Miami used to play Notre Dame annually, many people deemed the game Catholics vs. Convicts.
I think Jews vs. Gentiles might only work if Notre Dame was playing Yeshivah University.
Not a fan. The point is to make fun of another's traditions, mascots, players, and coaches, not to co-opt them. You can't make fun of Jesus, and trying to steal their tradition seems lame. The last thing I want to see is a winged helmet imposed on any ND symbols, even Jesus. Let 'em have it. We have plenty of our own tradition. Like making fun of Rudy. And Brady. And Brian Kelly. And whoever their next QB is. But keep our symbols separate from ND's.
