MSU controlled much of it and Nagelvoort may be thinking about the offseason already. Don't expect MSU to be held scoreless in the 3rd at this rate. We'll probably need to score again

That goal Nagelvoort might be the worst I've ever seen a Michigan goaltender give up. As the puck rolled into the zone I was thinking "Come out and play it!" and he sort of did, yet did the worst possible thing which was only half try to play it. Still don't know how he didn't realize he needed to go faster

Watching the replay of the first goal, he was off to the left of goal. The thing to do was push off with his left skate to get back in position and stay low. But noooo, he turns his back to the play to push off with his right skate while also standing up, and can't stop the puck.

/many facepalms but less than all the facepalms for that 2nd goal

Michigan 3, Michigan State 2

- Keller unassisted at 11:59 (god damn Naglevoort)

- Larkin from Hyman and Downing at 17:39

Shots 17-10 U-M in the 2nd, 31-10 U-M overall

MSU and U-M both 0-1 on the PP

- Naglevoort gives absolutely 0 confidence right now....

- much more reserved period, not even close to as wide open as the first...but opened up more so towards the end

- great response by M to take back the lead when things looked like they might snowball on us

Own goal on Downing. He actually directed it at the net, then made it worse by trying to clear again and just deflecting it past Nagelvoort.

Every goal allowed tonight has been a different kind of ugly. Sigh
