Super Bowl XLVII Thread

Submitted by MaizeMN on

I guess somebody had to do it. Less than an hour until the Cake-Demanding Harbaughs take on the Demands-Yet-To-Be-Uttered Harbaughs. As Bo smiles from football Valhalla...

Commence.

Man, the Puppy Bowl just finished, then I had to get though the what are you eating/drinking for the Super Bowl, and now the game open thread is already upon us? I can't handle the pressure!

Although I am not a Niners fan, I did get Jim Harbaugh's autograph the weekend of Super Bowl XL at the Canton Sam's Club for free. So it'd bepretty cool to say that I have a Super Bowl winning head coach's signature on my Michigan helmet.

Glad you don't speak for all alums, because Jim and John are great coaches and people. Even though he has a foot-in-mouth problem, doesn't change the fact that Jim won for us and beat Ohio twice.

Go Niners!

Doesn't that make it hard to root for the 49ers?

The '12-'13 49ers could form their own chapter of The Ohio State University Alumni Association:

That's what I don't get about professional football.  I could never understand rooting for a team full of guys from Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida State, Nebraska and/or Michigan State.  (Or wherever it is that this year's edition players hail from.)

These Roman numerals are getting unwieldy.   I wonder how many people can look at XLVII and actually know what number it represents.  Maybe it's time for the Super Bowl to retire the practice.

I know what you mean. Way too much focus on Ray pre-game. Dudes really shady character. "God doesn't make a mistake", when he spoke about the double homicide and his role.

Love what Boomer said a bit ago about telling the Niners that this isn't Ray Lewis' personal Super Bowl, go get 'em!
