Denver may actually be shut out.
landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.
Denver may actually be shut out.
Malcolm Smith staking an MVP claim but I go Kam Chancellor.
If I were a Bronco fan Demaryious Thomas would drive me crazy.
I don't watch much NFL, but he doesn't look like he's worth his salt at all
The Tom Brady fan in me loves rooting against Peyton.
But I never expected this.
Just looked up lowest scoring sb and it was 3. A few 7s out there.
Speaking of great all time defenses (TB, Chicago) we forgot that Ravens defense from early 2000s.
The real question is does Eli leave early to beat the traffic?
I'm loving every second of this game.
2 INTs, 2 fumbles (one lost), a botched snap for a safety, and a kick off return for a TD.
Denver is being outplayed and outcoached.
Yeah, this is pretty much an ass kicking in every phase of the game.
If Peyton retires after the season, his pro career will end just like his college one - getting blown out in the championship game.
I know Seattle's D is good, but a whole lot of this seems like pure incompetence from the Broncos.
Eeeesh. I would not have believed this if I wasn't seeing it. What a bust.
This is a stupid game
Denver and Seattle were tied a moment ago at 190 total yards.
What do these men have in common?
Championships in college and nfl
The Broncos forgot to heed Jim Mora's warning:
I personally think the 2 week break helps lead to games like this. I'd love for this to go back to a single week between Conf champ games and the Super Bowl
That was sick.
What a run.
I'd say it was more awful tackling than great running.
I'd say it was both.
Denver has mentally checked out.
"Is Denver supposed to be playing in this game or are they just filling in for the real team that couldn't make it because of the weather."
Words of wisdom . . .
This game is just ridiculous and kind of sad but still hilarious.
LOL...just so much fucking fail Denver.
Kearse pulled a snoop gallon
No mercy rule in play? This is brutal
Seattle has now scored on a safetly, Int return, pass, run, FG, and kick off return. Wonder how many teams have done that?
Also Pete Carroll is going to go down as one of the all time great coaches in football.
Just gotta get a punt return, fumble return, and missed FG return to complete the full monty.
Kudos! You beat Joe Buck to the punch.
Can you imagine what it must feel like to be a Seahawk fan right now? Your team is up 36-0 in the Super Bowl and we haven't even reached the 4th quarter yet.
Like an enormous orgasm prolly
Must be a good time.
A tradition like no other.
I can barely remember when they've been on offense.
They'll break a long one any minute now.
Well for those of us who are Lions fans at least we can actualize what would happen if Detroit was playing in the SB.
I'm starting to wonder if Denver will put up any points
Denver's best play was holding Seattle to only 2 points on the first play of the game. It has been all down hill since then.
Dude must be desperate for cash.
Just like Eminem.
you're drunk. (Or high)
Rocky Mountain High?
Well, there goes the shutout.
AND THE COMEBACK IS ON!
(Er, maybe not.)
Is Jimmie Johnson the only other coach to win a Super Bowl and a college national title?
I think Switzer
Denver finally scores, but this performance by Seattle is one of the best performances I have ever seen.
I disagree. I mean hell, Denver is outgaining them. Seattle has just been given favorable positions all game long by one Broncos mistake after another.
Even the commercials have been bad tonight. Everything about this SB has been bad.
The Muppet ad and the Tebow ones were good.
nice pass INT by Seattle on the TD catch.
And this is why it pays to PI constantly - they are only going to call so many.
As bad as Denver has played, they've really done it to themselves in everyway possible. The safety, the kick-off coverage/strategy, the OL getting blown up resulting in Peyton's Pick 6 off his throwing motion being hit, and D Thomas not securing the ball after the long catch. Seattle has taken it to them, but Denver should still be in striking distance not gifting Seattle 9-16 pts.
Should have tried that at the beginning of the half.
Voted for Joe Namath's mink coat. Never have I seen such greatness.
Lest we forget that he was a Heisman contender at Wisconsin.
As a Seahawks fan this is the greatest Superbowl I have ever watched!
If I was a fan of anyone else though this game would suuuuuuuuuck.
Do NOT mess with Butterfinger. It was perfect the way it was.
Butterfinger just straight up swiped his woman.
"Not just a game manager" is the new "Not just a shooter".
Where are the Kate upton commercials?
For Hardee's. We may not see it
Alright, run this clock down so we can watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Have a mercy rule?
At this point the only reason I am continuing to watch is to see the forty-five second commercial for the new 24.
Serious? THey are bringing Keifer back? That guy should have been dead about 6 seasons ago lol.
Yep. A twelve episode season based in London. They have been playing subtle ten second 24 commercials all night. Listen for the ticking clock. At some point they are going to show a preview of the new season.
well there it is. Hope Elisha Culbreath (sp?) is back too
She is not on the IMDB credit list. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1598754/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast
Nice to see Denver has eliminated tackling from their defensive gameplan.
not sure if this is posting worthy
but the seinfeld commercial/episode had the mention of manningham catch from superbowl XLVI
Who are we talking about?
He would've gotten all the credit if they won. He's this generations Dan Marino.
Those interceptions had nothing to do with it...
haha full house
a full house commercial....LOL. I'm dead
There goes the Legion of Boom.
Defense wins championships. Five of the six times the #1 offense played the #1 defense, the defense won the game. Make it six of seven now.
When did the number one offense win?
49ers were the only number 1 offense to beat a number one defense in points allowed. Importantly, the niners had the 3rd best scoring defense. That San Francisco team was very good, 2 losses by combined 5 points.
Manning is 33/46? wtf. I feel like those stats are from a different game.
and they trail by 35.
Cause 5 of the incompletions caused the ball to be turned over.
Peyton sets record for completions in one of worst Super Bowl losses ever. MVP!
You have to be happy for Seattle. Their city has won one championship in the four major sports, and the franchise that won it (Sonics) is located in Oklahoma City now.
That was a wicked 24 commercial
Use promo code PEYTON when ordering your next Papa Johns pizza. When delivered a Seahawks defender when arrive at your house and eat it in front of you.
But then I'm not sure who you would give it to.
They give those thanksgiving game awards to an entire unit. Should be able to do it in the SB too :) That entire defense deserves it.
Seattle's first SB appearance was as the loser in SB XL at Ford Field.
Interesting fact about that game: Jerome Bettis is from Detroit.
The right guy got MVP.
Seattle's GM is 42 years old. William Clay Ford....please....
Yet another expansion team to win the Super Bowl before the Lions.
(said in Jim Mora "Playoffs" voice) Win? Wiiiin????
I'd like to just appear in one. Can't get greedy.
(well in reality for Detroit fans we only hope to win ANY playoff game - we have ONE in the SB era.... Tebow has more lol)
They passed on him when they got rid of Millen
Rick Ross is having a good night.
No sacks from the Seattle D and they are uo 35.
so, Brooklyn 99: great show or greatest show? Discuss.
I love that show. Barley and Jimes!
So both Mannings suck in the Meadowlands this year.
Which is worse. The way Denver played or the commercials?
Denver. And that says a lot about how bad they played..
great strategy - put all the good commercials in the last 2 minutes of the game. That only works in competitive games.
They saved all the best commercials for the end because they thought it'd be a close, intense game. Whoops.
Seahawks got themselves some of those spartan steroids. What a class act Pete has built himself.
Adderall covers all roidal flaws.
Watching Pete Carroll win a Super Bowl.....
I love how the NFL champ is a "world champion."
Serious? All American sports leagues say that. I get that it's not true, but they aren't the only league
But it's particularly funny for the NFL, which a) is a sport basically no one outside the U.S. and Canada plays and b) doesn't even have a token Canadian team.
FWIW, the NFL champion's claim of being "world champion" rings truest when compared to the claims made by the champions of the other three major leagues.
I never liked the name World Series, and I'm not a fan of how the NFL's picked it up.
What team is better?
Pete Carroll makes me physically ill
That was like watching the passion of the Christ. 2 hours of torture.
I wish the game had been played in a blizzard.
Hey, at least New Jersey will collect income taxes from all the players, coaches and everyone else that had anything to do with the Super Bowl.
Is that true?
From the sales, yes. But since the NFL is non prof (somehow) I didn't think they have the same tax responsibilities.
professional athletes are responsible for paying all taxes in all locations they perform. They are a pain in the ass
The NFL as an organization is another story.
This was the worst Superbowl I can remember. I was better off watching a chick flick with the wife!
I'm so happy for Russell Wilson! And it's always fun to watch Peyton lose. A blow-out is just icing on the cake. I hope Tom Brady and Giselle were somewhere warm, drinking champagne and being awesome and laughing their butts off.
Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer and Pete Carroll
More than just winning a Super Bowl and National Championship in common.
and found that they are very passionate about their sports! More so than most major sports cities (I live in Atlanta; we lost* two NHL teams). They sell out every soccer game, which is not the norm, and you see how they 12th man is prominent for football. Glad they have a trophy for the city.
* Seattle is still pissed they lost the Sonics.
Soccer is big out here. People like the Seahawks because they're winners. The Mariners draw very low. Lowest in the league?
Basically it's the same as every other city except they like soccer.
The Oikos yogurt commercial w/ John Stamos had me laughing. Much like the Denver O.
Sweet Death kiss me now!!! Lions fans, it doesn't get any better than this!
Happy for them. I also spent 3 months in Seattle in 2012, have seen CenturyLink first hand and it's a great field. Congrats!
Worst Super Bowl ever. But I knew it would be. I knew who ever won the Seattle vs. Niners game would be Super Bowl champs. I'm a Niner fan so obviously I was very mad about the Niners losing but as soon as they did I knew Seattle would win it all. Hate they did because they are a hated rival..,but they deserve it. Grats to the Seahawks.
The thing is that I don't like Carrol and Sherman but I do like Russell Wilson. I am very happy for Wilson.
You can take some solace in the fact that the Niners are de-facto "runner up" NFL Champions.
At least the halftime was awesome.
Did Denver come back yet?
