People might end up comparing him with Dan Marino instead.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:27 PM ^
Bowl winning QBs'. Comparisons to Marino are not logical.

Can one count out Point-man Peyton?

ALF and Hulk Hogan in the same commercial....that is a win.

The more I watch football, the more I think that it's really just a contest between the offensive and defensive lines.

Every skill player I know would disagree.
So take it for what it's worth.

Yikes. I'm so used to us having multiple guys in this game. That stings.

The Denver D is going to be worn out by the second half.

Yeah I know Denver can come back but seriously, defense wins championships. Or gives you a chance every darn game

Wouldn't be a football a game with a Tebow reference or... commercial.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:25 PM ^
but Tebow's commercials are pretty funny.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:25 PM ^
LOL......I like Tim Tebow now.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:27 PM ^
well technically you like the ad writer for TMobile but yes - not sure why people dont like the guy other than the media lavishes attention. He is really a super nice guy - just not good at being a NFL QB.

This game is pretty damn lame so far. I didn't really want to watch a blow out.

I love defense like this. It's a beautiful thing to witness.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:32 PM ^
On this we agree* .. watching a defense dominate is pretty awesome.
*unlike your contention Hoke is about to pull off a 4 year run like Dantonio.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:35 PM ^
I think it's hilarious that you still pose as a Michigan fan when 70% of your posts are about how great MSU is.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:38 PM ^
Thank you. I am such a good faker, considering I praise Beilen considerably. The football program is way below par for this program and you can continue to clap and ignore that Michigan fan would love to have success Dantonio has had the past 4 years.
p.s. I will rip on MSU bball next year a lot when I think their team will be a flop. :)
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:42 PM ^
You actually are a good faker, and I do have to give you credit for that. You've been here almost two years, have "alum" in your name as well as an SI cover of a victorious Michigan, allowing you to pretty much evade suspicion (although several posters called you out on it during FB season).
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:35 PM ^
it COULD happen. Big difference.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:37 PM ^
let's hope so.

We will. You? Not so much.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:31 PM ^
is this about the time they turn off the power? Or is that not going to be a super bowl tradition?

It's all about the sprinklers.

Lining up in the shotgun on 3rd and an inch and throwing a pass has to be a little embarrassing for the Denver OL.

He is looking like Elway vs the Niners.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:42 PM ^
His o-line is getting beaten regularly and the Denver D is selling out to stop the run and getting shreaded by the pass.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:40 PM ^
I've always contested the '85 Bears were the best D I've ever seen, if this game continues like this, I'll be changing my opinion.
February 2nd, 2014 at 7:45 PM ^
It is an interesting debate because the NFL has changed the rules to emphasize offense so much from the 80s. Much harder to be a dominant defense nowadays. Plus much harder to keep your team together with free agency now vs 80s.
The remarkable thing is how little money Seattle has in its defense. They gave Harvin a boatload of money and I think they have like one or two guys at $5-$6M on the defense, and the rest of those guys make like $1-$3M. I think Avril is one of their highest paid guys in fact.GOing to lose a bunch of them in free agency the next few years but the drafting is fantastic. It is a very young defense to boot.
