So far the Ravens are taking it to the Patriots. They are just manhandling Tom Brady and the Pat's Defense. I picked the Pats to win, but now I'm not so sure.

And, as I post that, the Patriots might have got back in the game on a turnover while the Ravens coaches are asleep at the Challenge Wheel. Maybe the dont know what pile on means?

Ravens didn't challenge the punt - up 24-0 at that point what do you have to lose by challenging? I'll be interested to see if the Pats can crawl back into this game after that big break.

Junior Seau played in a Rose Bowl that was won by a Bo Schembechler coached team. thought that was an interesting fact to throw there to the board.

Quick question re: rules in the NFL vs. rules in CFB. NE's left tackle is consistently lining up well off the line of scrimmage, much further back than Ortmann ever was. Yet Michigan was flagged for that dumb penalty multiple times this year. Is this just something that isn't called in the NFL or is it a scenario where Big 10 refs were trying to crack down on that rule? I've been watching/gambling on football for most of my coherent life and I'd never seen that penalty called. I saw it at least twice levied against Michigan this year.

the team thats been able to run the ball consistently, win time of possession, and lock down the opponent's top receiver has not just won, but dominated every single game so far. the jets and bengals had equal rush yardage, but the jets possessed the ball longer. the jets also shut down ochocinco. dallas ran all over philly, won TOP 2:1 (thats not a typo), and clamped down on desean jackson. now look at the pats-ravens game. ravens are running wild. they have 182 yards of offense and 9 (NINE!) passing yards at the end of the 3rd quarter! i dont have stats on TOP, but im pretty sure with that ground game, they're winning. and moss has been almost a non-factor. want to go far in the playoffs? there's your blueprint - hogs on the oline, a good RB, a qb who can manage a game, and combination of either a shutdown corner (jets - revis) or an all-round solid secondary with a very good scheme in place (dallas and baltimore).
