Ravens @ Patriots 1:00pm on CBS
Packers @ Cardinals 4:40pm on FOX
So far the Ravens are taking it to the Patriots. They are just manhandling Tom Brady and the Pat's Defense.
I picked the Pats to win, but now I'm not so sure.
Losing Welker seems to hurt more than I expected.
for Brady. Yikes.
I love this.
Now the Patriots are just getting shit on. What a shame cmon Tom!
I am taking a lot of pleasure in seeing NE fans have to sit thtough getting bitchslapped in a home playoff game.
pile on ravens, pile on.
And as I type that, the Pats recover a muffed punt. Heh heh muffed.
the baltimore defense is putting on a clinic
it's as if tom brady is forced to play with a joey harrington avatar
And, as I post that, the Patriots might have got back in the game on a turnover while the Ravens coaches are asleep at the Challenge Wheel.
Maybe the dont know what pile on means?
Maybe he can fill in for Welkah after all.
Ravens didn't challenge the punt - up 24-0 at that point what do you have to lose by challenging?
I'll be interested to see if the Pats can crawl back into this game after that big break.
Patriot TD on this drive and they are right back in this thing.
or less by the half, it will be a game.
Junior Seau played in a Rose Bowl that was won by a Bo Schembechler coached team.
thought that was an interesting fact to throw there to the board.
non-special teams players in the league.
Junior has been around forever...
Is Jeff Feagles still kicking around? That guy was in Tecmo Super Bowl.
must have drank at the fountain of youth last night. He is looking like the Super Bowl Ray Lewis.
The one where he dominated the Giants?
The one where he stabbed someone?
Belichek is gonna punt it here.
... or does Tom Brady just look disinterested. I mean, he's always been a cool cat, but he almost looks like he's just going through the motions.
seems out of it.
Very disappointing effort by the Pats -
They do the get the ball at the half - so maybe with some good half time adjustments they can get back in to it.
to get throught halftime. Am I right Clarkie?
BTN - if you'd rather watch that then curling.
I do loves me some curling though!
ball - I really think they need a score on this drive or this one might be dunbar.
Patriot receivers not doing a good job.
It's ugly. Yeah, Yeah, it's ugly. U-G-L-Y!
Barring a Pats comeback all three games so far have been crap.
I hope the Cards/Pack is a good one with the Cards coming up on top.
I hope GB/ARI is a shootout.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree.
Green Bay all the way.
I'm just a huge Packer hater.
I despise them more than any team in the league and more than any other professional team.
I'm a Lions fan so I should dislike the Packers, but I have a lot of respect for them and what they have accomplished as a franchise.
But I could root for either team I like both of them.
Quick question re: rules in the NFL vs. rules in CFB. NE's left tackle is consistently lining up well off the line of scrimmage, much further back than Ortmann ever was. Yet Michigan was flagged for that dumb penalty multiple times this year. Is this just something that isn't called in the NFL or is it a scenario where Big 10 refs were trying to crack down on that rule?
I've been watching/gambling on football for most of my coherent life and I'd never seen that penalty called. I saw it at least twice levied against Michigan this year.
that is a penalty that is never called on linemen.
Sometimes you see a receiver called for an illegal formation if he is not line up properly - but besides this season I've never seen a lineman get dinged for it.
the team thats been able to run the ball consistently, win time of possession, and lock down the opponent's top receiver has not just won, but dominated every single game so far.
the jets and bengals had equal rush yardage, but the jets possessed the ball longer. the jets also shut down ochocinco.
dallas ran all over philly, won TOP 2:1 (thats not a typo), and clamped down on desean jackson.
now look at the pats-ravens game. ravens are running wild. they have 182 yards of offense and 9 (NINE!) passing yards at the end of the 3rd quarter! i dont have stats on TOP, but im pretty sure with that ground game, they're winning. and moss has been almost a non-factor.
want to go far in the playoffs? there's your blueprint - hogs on the oline, a good RB, a qb who can manage a game, and combination of either a shutdown corner (jets - revis) or an all-round solid secondary with a very good scheme in place (dallas and baltimore).
should ice this thing.
Pats will need 3 TDs in 10 minutes - don't see that happening.
Do not...I repeat do not mess with the Harbaughs. 33-14 Baltimore.
33 attempts for 111 yards - terrible.
Eddleman - kid is playing his heart out.
ends this game. Kinda reminds me of the Bengals game yesterday, need a kick and you can't get it.
I've never seen the patriots play this poorly. No one stepped up at all. Hopefully the Cards/Pack game is good.
Other than that I was shocked to see a Belichek team look like absolute crap.
Cards/Pack is the only hope for Wildcard weekend.
troy aikman looks supremely bored.
Cardinals off to a good start!
new most annoying commerical: kfc spicy wings.
about buying them if it would put a stop to the commercials.
wow a nightmarish start for the pack.
