Sunday MBB
Wisconsin in danger of taking a bad loss at home to Purdue. Pitt survives Villanova. Nova would be wise to win their first round game in the Big East tournament as they are getting very close to the bubble.
Glad to see Purdue is starting to get something going right before they play us.
for the Big 10 tourney... so I guess, woo!
looks really dangerous... Hopefully we won't see them on the path this March.
Not that Wisconsin is the most adept rebounding team in the Big Ten, but they only have four offensive rebounds in the game and 23 total, far less than Purdue in each case. Otherwise, they have been within 2% of one another for effective FG% most of the game.
Scansin' goes down...at home...to a team that Iowa just clobbered. Welcome to the Big Ten.
There is something so sweet about a Bo Ryan loss. Almost as nice as an Izzo defeat, and on the same level wth a Thad Matta red face-ing beat down.
In order to grab a share, we need to win out and have Indiana lose out. That sounds pretty crazy, but it isn't actually.
We have to beat MSU and Indiana, two tough teams obviously, but both at home, where we play much better.
Indiana would have to lose to OSU, certainly possible, and us.
So lets get things back on track and come out with some energy today and get a huge win today at home! Go Blue!
But I can't even entertain the thought unless we win the next two, which at this point seems unlikely enough itself.
Right now a four way tie is possible (note I said right now). Nuts.
Michigan wins they are 2nd place, loss and they drop to 5th in the Big Ten.
They should consider using some kind of strength of schedule to break ties at the end of the season to determine conference tournament seedings. Wisconsin missed both us and Indiana this year. I expect they will be an early exit from the NCAA tournament.
There still is a very outside shot Michigan can get a piece of the title. Plus it's a rivalry game featuring a crybaby coach and a group of big mouthed thugs on the other side. Incentives galore.
