Agreed. Fleck will not be at WMU long, and he will not be a MAC coach that goes to take over a bottom-dwelling Power 5 team. Rather, he'll end up in a pretty good spot, if i had to guess...

Seems like the only possible hot seats this year in the B1G are Purdue and PSU?

Not exactly a hot seat, more of a tryout for Claeys. He's got a short term deal with a minimal buyout, $500K if they fire him after this season.

I feel like they keep on recruiting dual threat QBs and try to turn them into pocket passers when they don't even know how to develop a QB in the first place.

will be the next coach at LSU or Texas if Strong has a shit year. Meyer will last another 4 years tops....depending how long it takes for Harbaugh to "Saban" him out of the conference...ie heart problems. I really hope Herman does not end up at OSU as he has the chops to be an elite coach and alreay has midwest ties.

I think you underestimate the intolerance that the OSU power structure has for losses. Perhaps you're right, but should Michigan beat OSU four out of six or three in a row, Meyer will find himself under concerted attack.
When Woody lost two of three to us there was huge pressure to dump him. Who knows but folks rarely go wrong assuming the worst about the OSU fan/alumni base.

Blind replay official, but they were never getting a TD. There was a holding penalty on the play.

He tends to force things when they are not there. I think our secondary is gonna make him pay for it.

They certainly got my attention yesterday. I'm just glad we have them at home.

Wouldn't it be ironic if that then led to OK leaving to join the B1G?

Yeah, one of my hot takes from yesterday - because I have them and rarely express them, so here's one - is that Houston needs to be in a Power Five conference, and it seems like the Big XII would be a natural choice for them. Tom Herman's offense there is fun to watch and pretty frightening if you have to face them, I am sure.

Is it possible that they already dilute the Big 12 with their current compete-level?

Another game that caught my attention was Richmond hammering Virginia 37-20 at Virginia in Bronco Mendenhall's debut as VA head coach.

Reuben Foster and Marlon Humphrey's are great football players. They play real nasty too. I was really surprised by how they dominated USC.

I posted something the other day to the effect that I would not judge msu no matter how crappy they play against Furman. You are right - they always look poor in their opener and by mid Oct they are playing at a very high level. We will get a better idea of where they are in two weeks when they head to Notre Dame.

Honestly, we won't even by then.
The most startling statistic in college football in the last decade is as follows:
From 2008-2013, Notre Dame played both Michigan and Michigan State each year, always within a maximum of 3 weeks within each other.
Over that span, Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke posted a winning 4-2 record against the Irish. Mark Dantonio went 2-4.
MSU often plays shitty against Notre Dame, but most often it has no bearing on how they are in October and November.
