I'm sorry I like them.
Sugar Bowl Pseudo Clowniforms
Yeah, I do too, anything is better than that piping.
I'm a little fed up with the fact that we'll have worn FIVE different uni's this year, but I feel like selling "special" uniforms with a Bowl patch is a regular AD money grab.
In terms of these specific unis, I agree, the road unis are liable to be tweakedwith more than the home without upsetting people. My personal favorite road uni is this:
Which makes me wonder if they were going for that style block M on the shoulder with the undershirt. Modern jerseys don't really have sleeves, I thought a white sleeve with this style M would look even better.
I love them.
excessive maize makes the uniforms worse than people realize. thank god we don't have maize jerseys (yet). I think these are solid uni's but I would like to see the Wolverines break out the all whites they wore in the 70s once next year.
I hate it and don't understand how someone could like that much change in their supposed 'uniform'. I'm fine with a special change for a game every now and then but not every season, definitely not five times a season, and most certainely not five times a season with the uniforms that were worn. The stripes on the shoulders look stupid and only remind me of the Notre Dome and Michigan State uniforms which could have turned Medusa into stone from the ugliness.
Amen. It's not even really about any particular one of these incarnations looking bad. It's the whole mentality that the greatest heritage in college football, the patrimony of Michigan football, isn't good enough. It's the fact that no one actually believes in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" anymore.
We have something brilliant and everyone recognizes it. We've successfully snagged recruits out of Ohio on the basis of our helmet wings alone. Quit fucking around with it!
Take the block M off the left chest and the stripes and I too...will love them.
I wish we'd just wear a basic jersey like our home uniforms.
One "tweak" I'd like to try is an ALL white jersey with MAIZE numbers (like the home uniforms) and blue outline around the numbers.
Nothing else. No stripes, no piping, no collar, no block M...just the EXACT same uniform as our home, but white instead of blue...and blue around the maize numbers.
I like them too
Not as bumble-beeish as the ND game, so thats good. I dig them too. Not sure what all the uproar is about - I think they look cool.
Mess with the away uniforms as much as you want as long as the result is leaving the home uniforms alone.
Definitely agree with this. Our current away uniforms are pretty lame. Im excited to see these on the players....
OT: how did you like the MAcc program? Any advice for an aspiring accountant?
Going in I never saw myself as a life-time auditor, merely as a means to take and pass the CPA. I spent three years at a big 4 and have since moved on elsewhere. Classes were fine and all, and if you have a lot of friends left on campus it would be great; unfortunatly, all of my friends had graduated and moved by the time school started and lets just say that Year 5 < Undergrad.
Advice? Pass the CPA before you start work. Take it seriously (like it actually requires studying and knowing what the hell you're looking at). I was never much of a studier and had a tough time on the first section I took until I really focused.
I dont mind them. At least they got the pants right.
...make us faster and stronger, I'm all for them.
But I think they look really good. Not as busy as the ones we wore at MSU, but has a little flash nonetheless.
We whine about tradition, but the players like them. Let's let the guys who are bringing our tradition back choose what they want to wear.
You should get all the plusses.
Not really 'bringing tradition back' if they wear different jerseys... Just sayin'.
Michigan's tradition is not in their jerseys, its in their winning.
Those look great. Sorry if you don't like anything new... these are cool.
yep how I feel
I'm not a fan of the sleeves, but the rest is very nice, and I wouldn't even be opposed to wearing it as our normal away uniform. I'd like to see it without the sleeves and some different shoulder options, but I like it better than the piped-out uniforms we've moved towards the past 4-5 seasons.
Overall I give them a meh.
I think taking away the striped sleeves would give us the best road jersey we could get. Our colors aren't great for road jerseys but I think they'd be fine without the stripes. I just fucking hate stripes actually...
I like! I would take them as our away uniforms for next year.
Umm...Those are fuckin sweet.
They'll probably rip and get replaced with the old ones half-way through the game. That being said, they're not the worst looking but I'd prefer no stripes.
the grip and stretch problem.
As for the under sleeve - much better than those busy maize ones at MSU.
I hope they stick with the maize pants as shown.
shut is slick son! like them
....but I do like them otherwise. Overall, not too shabby.
Not my cup of tea but frankly what I think doesn't matter. If putting variations and special jerseys out there excites the kids who this program is built around and for, then go for it. I'd prefer if we don't approach Oregon territory, though. I like what Oregon does, but not for Michigan.
But if the kids want to be Oregon, I guess we'll have to be Oregon judging by the logic everyone's using.
Recruits dig XFL names, we should incorporate those as well!! Afterall, it's all about the recruits and players; the fans and alumni should have no say.
you're right. we should do whatever the alumni and fans say. SIT DOWN. STOP THAT CLAPPING FERGODSAKES. FULLBACK DIVES ON EVERY PLAY. SCOREBOARDS DONT NEED TO BE DIGITAL. GET OFF MY LAWN.
Oooo, you want a straw-man battle! I can do that too: So, when you're an alum, once you graduate, your opinion stops mattering. And if you never did go to U-M at all, whether or not you support the team with money and stuff, well, your opinion never did matter in the first place. Let's turn the program into one big Logan's Run where once you turn 21 and graduate, you're dead to the program. Got it.
If the color and content of our jerseys are going to fundamentally change your feelings for Michigan football or alter your desire to watch or spend money on Michigan football then maybe the problem lies with you and not with the jerseys?
I don't want us to be Oregon but to say that nothing should change ever is taking it from one extreme to another.
They like doing different jerseys. I don't see what the big deal is.
Obviously we are going to have to take some points off the Hoke Gets It scoreboard.
But yes - also obviously, "I think the players are wrong here," is totally, 100% synonymous with "screw the seniors." Right in the ear, in fact.
Let me ask you something: If Adidas doesn't come down and "show some concepts" and nobody ever says anything about alternate uniforms, does that make the seniors mopey and unhappy?
Moreover, if Dave Brandon didn't allow Adidas to come down and "show some concepts" would the players be any less enthusiastic about the program of Sugar Bowl. Bo would have in the Adidas exec's face (if not worse) at the idea.
Kids like the uniform thing. I'm their age, and so do I. It's the new thing, and I understand why some don't like it.
But we don't know who pushed for this to happen again. Maybe the players did. Maybe Brandon did. Adidas proposed it, but the players could have had a role in that.
Either side could have easily said no. If the players wanted to go with normal road jerseys, they could have said no to the alternate jerseys. If the players wanted alternate jerseys, Hoke and the coaching staff could have said no.
Either way, it was agreed upon and as long as the people with the program are happy, I really don't see what the big deal is.
I would have no problem if they just came out and said we are trying to make more money, so we came out with these Sugar Bowl uniforms.
the Michigan staff has proven that it is way, way, smarter than total failures like the New York Yankees, the Detroit Red Wings, the Detroit Tigers, and other teams who have deluded themselves into thinking that a clean, classic, and consistent look is worth a lot. Perhaps the basketball team will soon adopt Detroit Piston teal as a fourth color.
Bucs, chargers, pats, cardinals...
Lions added the black accents. Wasn't a major change relatively speaking, but it certainly was a major fuck up.
....Vikings, Bears, Bills, Bengals....
....yeah, the NFL is actually a pretty poor example of teams not messing with classic looks. The only reason they don't do it more is because the NFL has iron-fisted rules about how often you can change your look, how long you must take to do it, and how often you can wear third jerseys.
Aside from slightly changing the stripes a bit, the Bears uniforms have looked the same since the 50s.
And I'm a Bears fan. It's hard to find any fanbase that hasn't been hit by the alternate jersey noizeee.
Precisely what I'm referring to. I'm a Lions fan and I still think the Bears have one of the bestest, classicest, and old-schoolest looks in all of football. Sometimes an old design never gets old. That's what the Bears have.
Except for when they wear these stupid things. Mmmm slobber slobber drool jersey sales drool drool. Fuck the fucker who thought of those. And they wore them against the Packers and Lions too - exactly when they ought to be looking their best and old-schoolest.
...falcons, jets, giants, dolphins w/orange uni's, Seahawks. But that's about it. Oh, and the rams.
The Lions' most major uniform fuck up came when they were acquired by Bill Ford, and abandoned what are now the throwback unis they wore as NFL champions in the 50s. Then again, the whole Bill Ford era has been a suck-fest with few exceptions.
Bengals going from bland to stripes? Falcons going black? Rams, Chargers, Bucs, Eagles changing colors? Pretty much everybody has messed with their uniforms except the Browns, Colts, Packers and Bears. And the Raiders, I guess.
hey------i've written two worthwhile things in seven years ["the number one michigan site in the central asian steppe"]------pretty sweet batting average, i think
Shit, we better change our regular jerseys then. We compiled 309 losses in non-UTL inspired ones.
Have we ever worn a maize jersey? Though my initial reaction is revulsion, the all-maize look is my favorite basketball uni, so why not try it out? Couldn't possibly be worse than the trash tornado abomination.
NO. If we ever wear an all-maize jersey for a football game... well, I don't know what I'll do. Probably turn off the TV and write DB an angry letter.
I mean, seriously?
But the exact inverse of our home uniforms would be interesting to try out. Helmet going unchanged, of course.
what are these? I think these are badass. although I do designing for a career... biased ?
Taking West Virginia's coach didn't really work out that well for us, but that doesn't mean we can't take their uniforms!
that nike pro combat is absolutley gorgeous, that might be the sickest jersey I have ever seen. being a younger person its all about flash and style in the new hipster era, and those jersey are just beautiful
WooooWeeee! It looks like Michael Bay took some acid then asked that elephant that paints with it's trunk to help him design that! Just like Transformers (not the first one), it's so bright and flashy I didn't even notice it looks like crap!
A game photo... in a jersey thread... with a picture of Oregon... where they weren't the offenders.
I see what you did there. Well played, Moleskyn.
I'm fine with change on the road jerseys but as JeepinBen mentioned, we've had 3 different road designs (Sugar Bowl, MSU and the techFIT aways without the piping) this year. Can't adidas just design and pick a road jersey going forward?
I think the key thing is finding one that people actually approve of. These actually look really sweet and while there are some mild complaints, there seems to be a solid appreciation for them unlike the horror that was the bumblebee Michigan State game jerseys.
Could very well be. Another thing that bugs the hell out of me (OCD a bit) is the fact 1/2-3/4 of our guys wear the 2010 model adidas jersey (tradionally the more loose fit) while 1/4-1/2 of our guys wear the techFIT style. It looks embarrassing and sloppy.
It's ridiculous, really. We're a "title sponsor team" (or w/e Adidas said that put us on the same level as ND as a customer) and we can't even get a uniform uniform from Adidas. I don't see this issue with Nebraska, Wisconsin, Texas A&M, UCLA, or Notre Dame. Just us.
Definitely like. Certainly better than the away bumblebeez. Maybe even more than the regular aways...which I've always found a bit weak.
I like these unis a lot, but they're already out of stock? Has anyone purchased this jersey?
The block M and the stripes are cool. Swith up the away jerseys, but let's pick ONE for next year. Just don't touch the home uniform!
Preface: I am very much a "Get off my lawn with your modern clowni-forms, your newfangled spread offense, your piped in music, your consideration of moving The Game to anything but the last weekend in November and your silly Welcome to the Big House" fan. MOAR tradition please is my motto.
I initially hated the UTL jerseys until about mid-way through the first half, and then they grew on my. Now I love 'em. (By contrast, the MSU jerseys should be recalled and collected in mass, taken to East Lansing, put into a pile in the shape of a huge couch and burned).
I must admit - these are some damn nice away jerseys. I would be ok with these as our permanent away jerseys.
Note: please leave the home jerseys alone and be careful not to step on my lawn next time.
is full of win (+1 to you)
the road whites are subject to tweaking. That said it's a money grab for sure.
aren't there usually "normal" jerseys for sale with bowl patches? I feel like this money grab has been in the system a while
Yuck. These are always awful. Sweet sleeves, bro.
now drop the block M from the jersey and I think you have the winner!
As long as they find a jersey that both fits Touissaint so that he's not dragged down by his jersey three times in the game (old Addidas) or doesn't choke him out (Techfit), then put whatever combination of maize, blue, and white you want on it.
Why can't we just wear our normal road jerseys? I don't like all this new stuff!
The logo on the side of the helmet has to be a joke, right? Right?
They didn't actually wear that helmet but that is their old logo.
They did wear that helmet, both in the 70s and as a recent throwback. Tech has become throwback city these days. New helmet every week.
The logo and the helmet itself. That thing couldn't fit on BeetleJuice (Stern not Keaton).
I actually like these better than our normal road uniforms, hope we keep them for next season.
Must every team have a different jersey for every game? When I was a kid my team only had one jersey, and we wore it every day, and we were beaten for wearing it, and that made us happy.
The old unis were not broken, but DB insists on fixing them. I ain't buying any of it.
I agree that we've had too many changes this year on the uniform front, but did you see what was happening to those TechFit jerseys? We definitely needed a change from those and not back to the 2009-2010 jerseys with that godawful piping.
How many uniforms are we going to wear this year? Do we even have a uniform or do we just break out some new maize-and-blue-themed covering for each game?
Would be nicer if they didn't have the maize outline around the numbers.
with plain old winged helmets or winged helmets with numbers on them? Can't tell that from the picture.
This is Retailing 101. Always have something new to put on the shelf so shoppers keep coming back and buying more. Keep that cash register ringing. Generates $$ for the athletic dept. I think Brandon must be going for #1 college brand in terms of $$ volume this year, if we aren't there already. Just glad my student daughter is not trying to buy the entire 2011 Michigan uniform collection. Hmmm....I see another product packaging opportunity there.
The unis are fine. Much better than the angry bumblebee unis. About as many M's on them as BMW has roundels on their cars and that's hard to top.
I actually think they look great.
because they drew Denard without his dreads.
no dreads and white, so not Denard.
Mark me down as in favor. I hope they've been experimenting with away jerseys and just trying to find one that people like. It looks clean, sharp, and it's not white/white or maize/maize. I wouldn't mind it at all if this became the normal away jerseys. Any word if they'll have their numbers on the side of the helmets?
Let's face it, we are in an area that uniforms need to be hot and new. They are recruiting tools and kids love changing their look. I personally love these. I would be very happy if these were perminant away jerseys. Michigan should have a couple alternate uniforms to attract prospects. Not to mention that a lot pf fans will go buy these, so profits also go up.
Oregon basically built a program with their flashy uniforms and incredible facilites (thanks to nike). The landscape of college football is changing and we need to keep up with the times.
they are alright myself. I actually thought the MSU unis would have been alright without the stripes. I thought I would hate white on white, but I thought it looked pretty sweet. Wouldn't want it in every game, but it was cool for a change IMHE. Anyway, I like this look as well TBH.
The shoulder stripes don't bother me at all. Similar to how the number on the helmet doesn't bother me. In fact, I love the number on the helmet. I also think that we should play with the away jerseys now and again. I know that the home jerseys are supposed to be dark and away light (unless you're LSU), but what about a maize away jersey? You could use white pants, or go all maize. That could be a sweet look, no?
I like the new ones road ones. I may even buy one when they go on sale after the Sugar Bowl.
I will NOT be buying the ultra-modern form-fitting $350 version, though.
You don't pull on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with jerseys for UM.
Except that U of M's road jersey pretty much changes every season. Granted they haven't changed multiple times in a single season in the past, but let's not pretend like our road uniforms are some sacred immutable icon.
I for one don't mind these too much, and kind of would like to see them bring the white pants back with them as well. That would be pretty cool.
While we may not have stuck with one look for road uniforms in the past, nothing sells Michigan like the winged helmets. They're iconic. I think we're better off, as much as possible, keeping the rest of the uniform iconic as well. I can live with nips and tucks here and there, but the MSU uni's were abominable, and I would avoid the stripes altogether. Class 132. Michigan fergodsakes. We're selling tradition here--why undercut it by moving to the Oregon end of the spectrum?
I was with you until the white pants part. I want my +1 back!
This is Michigan fergodsakes.
Seriously, this is where I really can't stand Brandon and his brand marketing B.S. Next we thing we know the Noid will be UM's mascot.
And, I can't beleive I am saying this but Addidas actually makes me miss Nike. Hell even Nutmeg Mills would be an improvement.
has got some REALLY big hands.
Make it stop.
What's funny is that I actually love these. THESE are what I pictured when they said we'd be wearing a throwback uniform. These have a nice "old" feel to them with the simple, plain, blue stripes on them. I wouldn't mind keeping these around.
Lose the shoulder stripes. Takes away from the greatest helmet in sports.
Like it otherwise.
Sooooo much better than the MSU jerseys we wore. I kinda like the block M on the shoulder, but I think it would be ever better without the stripes on the shoulder. I am very glad to not see any piping, though!
I really don't like the block M on the left chest. It makes the uniform too "busy". I'm not a fan of the shoulder strips, but I'n not all bent out of shape about them either. I wish we could just go back to the second-to-last Nike road jersey and be done with it. I loved those things, with the M on the sleeves and the two-toned collar.
From me, these unis get a resounding "meh."
Not a fan personally. I like the traditional aways. And by traditional, I of course mean the aways that get redesigned every year. But don't have stripes. Fuck those stripes.
eh, its better than this.
I like them, except the block M on the chest, sleeves, and "MICHIGAN" on the back of the neck is overkill. This is Michigan, we get it. The helmet should be enough to identify us.
On the other hand, the Sugar Bowl logo looks refreshingly small compared to past bowl patches.
I could do without the shoulder stripes but I like the block M on the left chest and the blue undershirt sleeves.
These can STAY ON MY LAWN.
We need to return to long sleeves and a button crotch!
Those are probably the best road jerseys we've had since 2006
edit: and if they put blue block m's on the shoulders instead of the stripes it would be tits
but I fear these new uniform patterns the same way Jim Delaney fears playoff creep. The new uniforms looks fine now, but then it opens the door for Dave Brandon to have all maize jerseys, have no wings on the helmets, play with a leather pattern on the helmets because it's "historic", put a giant wolverine logo on the chest complete with saliva and thunderbolts, an ad for Deja Vu in Ypsi as a tramp stamp on the jersey, etc
I'm not good at that stuff...
Could someone please make an ALL WHITE uniform with maize numbers and blue outline?
No blue collar or rings around the end of the sleeve. Literally all white, maize numbers, blue outline.
Didn't know Penn St. had MAIZE numbers with a blue outline...
Also, I could've sworn they have a blue collar and blue ring around the end of the sleeves.
If the players are :) than I am :)
So many variations and I dont like any of them. I prefer what Michigan has always worn, but if the players like them that is what really matters. I will cast my vote by not buying it.
What does Bri'onte Dunn want? Cause that's what I want.
The shoulder stripes are awesome in my opinion. They go well with the winged helmet and give the impression of moving forward. Plus, I actually like that they align with Adidas logo (although the three stripes in the UTL unis do so more accurately).
Not a fan of these. Without the stripes they would be OK.
I just don't understand. This is like something an athletic department stressed for money would do. Just wear what we've always wore.
How do I post a picture I made in Paint?
That's probably because of the throwback unis from the ND game. I loved those unis, so stripes have a bit of a special place in my heart now.
Is it common for major programs to wear alternate uniforms for bowl games? I don't feel like I've seen it very often.
I have no issue about how these look 2-D, but ill save my final opinion for when they run on the field.
I didn't like UTL jerseys. Hated them, actually. I didn't like the MSU-game road jersey, but I was too anxious to care. If true, I really don't like these.
Wearing multiple sets of uniforms during a season can't do wonders for our *brand*.
techfits? wearing em loose? Do people really pay that much attention to uniforms?
I don't think it looks bad, but I'm worried about this becoming a yearly thing with the Bama game neutral site throwbacks, Air Force camo throwbacks, ND game throwbacks, , MSU game throwbacks, OSU game throwbacks, BTCG throwbacks, and bowl game throwbacks next year.
I kinda like these. The blue stripes are subtle but a nice touch. Best road unis all year if you ask me.
I hate all the stuff on them - stripes, huge numbers, block Ms everywhere, yellow around the numbers. The jerseys wouldn't look terrible if we went with one or two of these items, not a goddamn Fourth of July grand finale of jersey add-ons.
hot fire unis
Better than the MSU game jerseys...although that is not saying too much
Careful boys, messing with the uniforms is fine, but touch that classic helmet, and ye shall have to deal with more than just Dave Brandon's pimp hand.............
have you seen the numbers payed on the sides!
* plastered Droid app won't edit
these are not disgusting, but i say move the block M to the back of the neck like on the home jerseys and i'm also not a fan of the sleeves. i'm thinking they'd match better in maize, maybe. no logos or words or any of that business on the them either.
just not the stripes on the sleeves, thats the only thing I would change.
I don't care for the block M on the shoulder. Other than that it's not bad.
My question is, why didn't we trot out the jerseys like the one JT Floyd is wearing here at any point?
1) They're perfect. If you want a little branding, change the numbers to a block 'M'.
2) No obvious Adidas markings
3) No strange piping
4) and most importantly (to some anyway), I'd actually want to buy one for a change. Go figure.
Aren't those the ones we wore against Northwestern? The players didn't care for them because they stretched too much.
I'm not referring to the stretch...
I'm not sure what you're saying here, but the jersey design Floyd has on there is what we wore against Northwestern.
Okay, I retract my statement... sort of. It figures that the one game I had to 'watch' on gamecast would be it.
I would then I should ask why not just make the new jerseys like the NW game jerseys? Without the stretchiness flaws, that is.
I don't think so. MOAR PIPING vs. Northwestern. Not 2010-design levels of piping, but still not what I'd call a good thing.
all yall old people need to stop griping, change is eminent in the new world, and if you cant handle it then you gotta learn to adjust. I want to let Hokes teams be themselves, everything doesent have to be all traditional and plain. TO NOTE THE JERSEYS it would be cool to use the grey facemasks, i thought they looked sick during ND game
This is getting ridiculous. Block M on one shoulder, Sugar Bowl patch on the other shoulder. Where is Falk going to put Hemingway's "Desmond" patch?? Over the Adidas logo?
I bet Marketing Dave and the boys at Adidas could team up with Special K to come up a musical mix to sell as a package deal with the clowniformz. Now, what to include in the sound track....
To borrow a phrase Brian made a week or so ago, we are on a slippery slope and erosion got busy.
re: Adidas and shoulder stripes, guess how many of the 5 adidas-sponsored B1G teams do NOT normally have shoulder stripes. One of these things is not like the others...
How long until the wings are changed? At this rate it will be a matter of time until some "modern" wings are applied to the helments.
are you refering to the wings on the helmet? if so, that will never change. if DB even were to think it he would be sedated and dropped off in the middle of columbus, kinda like snake bliskin, but without any cool toys.
Wow, those are fresh. So fresh that I hope we wear our helmets when we walk into the stadium.
these new away jerseys are not bad, but put the block M center above the numbers and move the addidas logo to the left.
A lot. I also liked the OTL jerseys and the road jerseys vs. Sparty.
Bob Ley picked it out the jerseys.
Our away unis have gotten so bad lately that these are actually an improvement. So, OK whatever.
The '80's Jim Harbaugh aways unis were the best. Then the 90's A-Train unis. Since it's been a minimum of a decade since we wore any of these, if Dave BRANDon wants incremental revenue from the sale of jersey's du-jour, why not bring back these?
"Michigan's seniors selected this jersey from options adidas presented, according to a Michigan release. Face mask grey, numbers on helmets" -Chengelis
"We met w/ our seniors & showed them concepts that were proposed by adidas & the mock-up is what they chose." - Coach Hoke
And although it will never happen, now I really want to see the other mockups. Also, is this the process they used for the UTL and msu games, or were those corporate decisions?
These uni's are kinda sick but less change, more tradition. Go blue!
I don't really mind the new look, but I think a solid shoulder and sleeve section would look sweet, with a simple block 'M' to finish it off. Something like this:
That looks nice, bravo
the plain helmets with no numbers. I liked the numbers, but ready to go back.
I actually like them for the most part. I think I would like them a little more if the stripes wrapped all around the sleeve instead of just being on the side, though. And I think our away jerseys should always have a block M on them somewhere. That part looks great. Maybe they coule even be on the sleeves/shoulders? Just above a thin maize and blue stripes? Wait, that's starting to sound familiar...
If the players like them, I like them
Grey facemasks, nice.
Personaly I like them and I just ordered mine, can't wait for it to arrive so I can show it off to all the ohio fans around me!
These aren't godawful like the UTL or (worse) the bumble-clown costumes from the MSU game. That said, WHY DO WE HAVE TO KEEP PLAYING DRESS UP?! Pick a uniform and stick with it!
The UTL Legacy jersey was awesome, but I do wish they would just stick to wearing the regular jersey and just add a patch for special occasions. It was all fun once but I don't want to keep having a new jersey every week, I can't afford it.
Welcome to the New World Order. It is a Stylish order.
I would actually prefer these over the maize pants. 100%.
There is historical precedent (during Bo's tenure) for white-on-white, and this is a serviceable modern approximation of that look.
I just wish, above all, that we could find an away uniform sans ridiculous patches/piping/etc. and stick with it.
My only gripe is that, IMHO, the striping on the sleeves and pants should be consistent.
I whipped these up as a reminder that it could always, ALWAYS be worse.
Just wait, guys. I'm calling it now; Brandon debutes extra-special maize uniforms before the 'Bama game next year. All for the sake of 'the brand'.
I've liked every uniform U-M has worn this year. I just wish they would get the stripes on the helmets right. There's way, WAY too much blue space between the middle stripe and the outside stripes.
