This sucks

I'm sorry, but this has been the worst season ever. I mean, we're 4-0. God. How can anyone be happy when we're undefeated going into a big rivalry game? This is disgusting. RichRod should be fired for not understanding our Michigan traditions of losing games in September.

I never knew being undefeated would hurt me so much. Can someone come over here and wipe up my tears for me? I'm busy posting nonsense on MGo with my hands and my tears just keep staining my jorts.

4 weeks ago I was absolutely convinced we'd lose to Western, and that Rich Rodriguez would get run out town on a rail before anyone had time to realize he was a top 5 coach in the country. A month later, we're 4-0 with 1 very good performance, one inspired one, one flat-but-decent one, and one crappy game, and there is much hand-wringing. Yes, the D is kinda crappy. We get it. But I thought there was a real chance our coach would lose the trust of the entire fanbase, and now we're concerned because our D looks crappy in games we actually win.

This is how young teams work. The BBall team beat Duke and almost beat UConn, and then needed miracles to beat Indiana and Savannah State. This game probably is an indication that we're not going to win the conference this year. We'll lay an egg against a team that can punish us for it. But I think people are reading way too much into this performance if they decide it means we're screwed against a vulnerable MSU team.

after 15 minutes.

So I'll comment.

Another year of Barwis and learning the system clearly didn't transform our LB's into Lawrence Taylor types, and the secondary is still pretty much the secondary. Those things didn't magically go away with the last-second victory over Notre Dame.

But I do think there is a very important point to be made beyond the 4-0 record. Michigan has won 2 (of only 4) games in the closing minutes. The last minute drive against Notre Dame was not a fluke.

The offense under Forcier has poise (yeah, I know I probably sound like Musberger) and knows it can win at the end. This confidence can only help in our coming games on the road.

This (very young) team is not finished winning games at the end of the 4th quarter.

3-9. Not happy. 4-0. Not happy. I am convinced that unless we score 50 points a game and give up 3 that these "fans" will call for someone's head and/or say this guy sucks and that guy sucks. A win is a win. This team has shown in 2 of 4 games that when the ish hits the fan they get it done. We could easily be 2 and 2 but we fought and got a couple wins. This team is not gangbusters but they could be one of the guttiest and fun teams I have seen in the maize and blue. I predict a win in Lansing because this is the kind of team that can slurp up a rivalry game and show us what it means to be a Michigan fan. If they don't win next week I will still be thankful for games like today (when every player fought and believed). But they will win. 24-21. Mark me down buckaroo.
