Students - Nice Job at the Joe

Submitted by michigandadof4 on
I was at Joe Louis Saturday night. Want to compliment the students. That was by far the largest contingent of U of M students I have seen at the Joe. My daughter even noted that it was loud enough that there were times Northern's band was playing and they could not even be heard. Red had it right when he gave credit to the fans for helping the team pull off the win.

Congratulations on being able to enjoy it in person. It showed nicely on TV. Particularly at the conclusion. You really got a feel (just a feel mind you) for the frustration release and utter joy that the Michigan faithful was enjoying at the end. If only I had smell-o-vision.

Great Job -- heard you at the other end of the ice. (i was stuck near the NMU band/fat guy stippers -- ewwwh!) to all of us there, great job cheering the team; it felt like Yost! Shegos can kiss my backside. he got not one but two major penalty calls wrong -- butthead, if he gets those right, i could breathe sometime in the second period not having to wait until the there is only 3.5sec left.

Outstanding job supporting the team at Munn and Joe Louis. As a CPA in busy season with a 10 month old and a father in the hospital, I had zero chance to participate in the CCHA tourney run and it kills me. Well done!

I can only agree. I was following the live stream and had the sublime joy to hear the Michigan faithful blazing through my laptop speakers. There were moments where I thought that the game had to be at Yost, despite knowledge to the contrary.

I was really upset that I couldn't make Lake State... Going to MSU and then watching us own Miami and outlast Northern made me forget all about it. =)

i too watched on tv and the atmosphere seemed great. lots of audible cheers even on a very much mixed down FSD feed. definitely a Yost-like feel. that's in stark contrast to last year's championship game, which i was at. despite having a full house, and a Michigan-biased crowd, it was one of the worst atmospheres for a college hockey game i've ever seen. after that game i swore i'd never go to a college hockey game at the Joe again. after last night, i'd consider changing my stance on that.
