Strange relations

Submitted by WindyCityBlue on

Ok, so I was kinda of bigger deal than the average UM student whilst an undergrad. By pure luck and happenstance, I was friends with Mark Snyder, Mike Rosenberg, and this Blog's dubious creator, Brian Cook...all at the same time! I knew Mark and Mike because I dated the EIC of the Daily back then (Mike's wife also worked for the Daily). I knew Brian because I was a performer in ComCo (Brian was a writer). I also happen to be facebook friends with all three as well.

I have to say, though, that all 3 were great people. While I think most of the board would agree with me on Brian, most would disagree with me about Mike and Mark. But it's true, they were good natured people. Now, I am not defending what they wrote, just wanted to give some food for thought, especially to those who want to do harm to either Mark or Mike.

Because if so, then I must be mistaken. I didn't know the vitriol and smack going around about MR and MS was off topic. Apparently, you haven't been reading this blog, where Brian, the creator and main contributor to this blog, has unleashed about 6 different "jihad" posts containing much of the same content I have. But that's not off topic.

Apparently, you ripped a page right out of Rosenberg's book on investigative defamation, because your idea of what is "off-topic" and what is "on-topic" is without any substance or proof, just an ill informed opinion.

Wait...Mike Rosenberg is that you?

:)

Ah, I apologize. I was under the apparently mistaken understanding that Brian unleashed 6 posts regarding the veracity of Rosenberg's and Snyder's reporting, not the nature of their character. I stand corrected.

Going back on topic, can we chat a bit about their hobbies? Do they like to windsurf? What color are their eyes?

I'm glad you made this post. Being that we're on the internet, people are prone to hyperbole. It's refreshing to see someone come in and just lay it all out there... Mike and Mark probably aren't OMGEVIL, they're bad journalists. I think in the anger a lot of people have confused the two and I'm happy someone who knows them has stepped and attempted to make the clarification.

This will be interesting to watch for awhile. Those two have CLEARLY hitched their wagon to nuking Rich Rodriguez--and they will ride the highest of horses if der shite hits der fan--but what will happen if Rich Rod teabags them and all the doubters with a nice 10-15 year run of greatness?

Will they stick around when he turns this thing around?

Hanging around all those "journalists" and Writer and you put an apostrophe in between the "n" and "s" in "relations"?

a closet MSU fan back then as well?

He may be a great person, but is a terrible writer. It has been proven that he is anti-Michigan, yet conducted this "investigation". On top of this, he never checked his sources and conned 2 freshmen to get quotes for his article.

Actually, those are the actions of a desperate loser, who can't get a real journalist position, so makes stuff up for the Freep.

If you know him, tell him to look at this page and the facebook stuff. Also, let him know that no alumni will support him. That bridge has burned.

The feeling I get from Rosie is that he is antagonistic enough toward Michigan now that it might spill over into being a bit masochistic, and he is all over blogs like this to see what people are saying about him.

It probably motivates him, at least partly.

So, FUCK YOU Rosie, you punk!
