They are both in the same state. I don't see Iowa gear here in Nebraska. It is cool that they sell Michigan gear in ohio. I was surprised to see so many Michigan fans when I recently visited Dublin, Ohio. It is near Columbus and every bar I went to I ran into Michigan fans. That was not the case when I lived in Michigan with Ohio fans. Even Torch lake, which has a ton of Ohio residents up there seem to mostly like Michigan. When I ask them why they usually say to be different, or because of the helmets as a kid. I say they think having nuts around their neck was too much.

I love that there are so many Michigan fans in Mordor. I've only seen a handful of scarlet-clad nasties in Michigan for as long as I've lived.

Just happened to me a couple weeks ago at a conference in DC where the guy next to me was from Ann Arbor, but was a Bucknut.
...but, with regards to the name, I would prefer "The Wolverine And Buckeye Shop" myself. It is one of the few places where I would highly recommend spending all of your time in half of the space. I did get some great gear there though, including sheets for the kids' beds - they have a wide selection beyond apparel there.
Lucas County really is the Neutral Zone of the rivalry, so it is well-placed and appropriately laid out definitely.

I lived in Sandusky for a few years and still have family there (all big Michigan fans). These types of stores are all over NW Ohio... Maybe even as far east as Lorain/Elyria?
I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart sells both OSU and MICH gear.
www.eatacheeseburger.blogspot.com Brian Cook has read this blog!
Back on the early 2000's, the Findlay Mall had a store like this. Haven't been in the mall in years though to know if it is still running. Was called the Ohio State - Michigan Store. Just like this, split down the middle. They also sold Notre Dame stuff. I don't remember anything MSU related in it.
Now no longer famous just for Ben Roethlisberger and Domino's little bits of parmesan crusted dippable breadsticks!
Also known as Rapistberger... Findlay had a big sign up in town of him but after the rape charges, they took it down. Now in true Ben fashion, he says he's from Liberty Benton High School on Monday Night Football instead of Findlay High School. Such a classy guy.
I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.
I didn't realize that the old one in Sylvania closed down a couple years ago, that makes me sad.
Those guys used to have this funny commercial (funny in the way a modestly produced local commercial can be) where a guy in Michigan gear accidentally crosses over to the Buckeye side and all hell breaks loose until he crosses back and suddenly everything goes back to normal.

This shop has operated in various venues in Toledo for years. It used to be on Monroe St. in the same complex as the west Tony Packos. (But you've gotta make at least one trip across the river to the original location).
They run commercials all the time where somebody is shoping for OSU or UM gear, and suddenly a siren goes off. They then notice their foot is across the middle of the store. Bloody annoying, honestly.
Hilarity ensues?
what's the story here: "I'm a white trash idiot" the end?
Dantonio threw a couple of his tees in there inorder to promote his worldwide recruiting efforts.

Another quirky thing to enjoy in Toledo, along with Nickel World (5-cent arcade FTW) and the Mud Hens.

I have a love/hate relationship with Toledo. Sometimes it means that I'm driving back to my beloved homeland. Sometimes it means I'm driving straight into hell.

I find it deeply satisfying that we've made much larger incursions into Ohio than Ohio has into Michigan.

The um and osu store also sell pool tables, signs, and lights
UM vs osu 2011 bring your keys and make noise (get it keys!)
A lot of die hard buckeyes, especially in northeast Ohio where I'm from, don't really consider Toledo being truly part of Ohio as a result of the deep UM ties in the area. So this is no surprise.
You can't win a marathon without putting some bandaids on your nipples!
Perhaps it's because I grew up near there, but this doesn't strike me as news worthy. But then again, I knew of this place already. It makes perfect sense b/c Toledo is pretty much split 50/50 with UM/OSU fans.
SImilarly, the same can be said for here in Michigan... just take a random Cracker Barrel, the one in Okemos, for instance, often displays both UM and MSU gear. Not quite then uncommon if you ask me. But it is a nice store, check it out if you go there (the one in Maumee)
