stoicism and subtitles
I note that the subtitle of this epic blog hath changed to "TAKE IT LIKE A MAN."
If the dong punches keep up, this blog will become a shrine to stoicism - think about it:
* daily affirmations from marcus aurelius and epictetus
* the title might change to "suffering is the key to salvation"
Yesterday sucked.
These dong punches shall pass.
PS: Apologies if you thought this was OT and about watching foreign films.
The dong punches will probably crop up in the future, just hopefully it won't be a weekly occurence. Tough winter.
Hockey giving me hope that there will be glimmer of something to feel good about.
Gandhi would say "Renounce and enjoy"
Gandhi would say, "Always put a man on the inbound pass."
o Control thy passions lest they take vengence on thee.
o Difficulties are things that show a person what they are.
o Do not seek to bring things to pass in accordance with your wishes, but wish for them as they are, and you will find them.
o First learn the meaning of what you say, and then speak.
"If you wish to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid."
I can honestly say that I've learned quite a bit about myself throughout the last two years. I probably care a little bit too much (I know, wtf right?) about Michigan sports, and I'm also a much more gracious loser than my friends with other fan affiliations.
Good times will come. Heck, great times will come. And I can't wait.
I was kind of hoping for one of those youtube Hitler videos from Downfall, maybe even one about the loss, but once you said it wasn't about foreign films I knew my hopes were once again dashed at the buzzer (mostly because that was the end of your post).
