Stevie Brown on Ferrall show
Didn't see this posted so thought I'd throw it up. I caught most of an interview by FERRALL (sirius shock jock) of downtown Stevie Brown this morning on my way to work. Here's what I got. I can't link it but maybe someone can.
--SB surprised by getting cut by Raiders and Ferrall wants to be his friend so he called him up since they are both hoosiers. Ferrall from Valpo and Brown from Columbus, IN.
--SB trying to get picked up and tightening the budget for the time being.
--Brown is still tight with GERG and thinks we will continue whoopass sequence in south bend. Brown stated he was not surprised by RObinson's break out against UCONN and was trash talking UCONN pro/prospect at camp.
--Stevie waxed eloquently on the ND rivalry and talked with glee about picking MICH over ND during his recruitment.
--Brown upbeat about season saying 9 to 10 wins will keep RR his job (probably due to bad lead by FERRALL who lapsed into his teenage pimp spiel about getting pussy at IU and penthouse pic's he picked up during the interview--SB took high road and left him hanging alone at these points).
--Ferrall asked about difference between Carr and RR and his response was Carr's regime was more like the pro's (had recorder, made note, reamed you privately later) vs. RR who is high energy in your face college style coach.

It is nice to hear a former player supporting the program and getting behind a coach for change instead of throwing the coach under the bus or declining to comment.

He's just a crazy ass-sports guy who talks and thinks like the rest of us and knows a ton about sports. And sounds like he gargled with Drano.

Too bad he got stuck with the Raiders.

He did get picked up to their practice team, however.

for 17 weeks minimum. About $89,000 annually, so not too bad. They can pay him more if they want to.
But I hope he gets a roster spot somewhere in the future.

I think he will get a spot in the league someday with a starting role. Just keep working hard Stevie, you are the man I believe you'll get your chance.
