I would check the point first before repriming it. But remember that the summer months take a particular toll on any region's aquifer, depending on the local climate.

Follow up question, oftentimes my household sponges accumulate an awful amount of buildup. What can I do to prevent this?

Ambry Thomas and JKP still a package deal? Likelihood we land all 4 receivers (DPJ, Collins, Martin and Black)? How hard are we looking at mobile QBs going forward (2018-) i.e. Dorian Thompson-Robinson? Who else might be in the fold? Min/max OL we take...4-7?

With all of these potential OL studs at least considering Michigan what does the staffs board look at for all of them? If you don't have any clue what does your board look like including commits?

recruits with the likelihood they end up at UM and a little insight as to why you feel that way:

Leatherwood

Harris

Ruiz

Browning

Filiaga

Solomon

Alternatively: there are some current commits "looking around".  Do you see any red flags pointing towards an imminent decommittment?  And if so, who?

Thanks!

In particular to your second question, how is Samuels' committment holding up?  He looks really good; hate to see the "soft" next to him on the Mgoboard.

Now that there has been a little more time to react to coach firings and Charlie strong on the hot seat has it become a little more clear who is looking around and who might be considering Michigan more closely than a couple weeks ago?

During this last weekend, it sounds like a lot of the recruits (particularly OL) enjoyed their visits at least in part because they've made friends with each other and enjoyed being together. Most of those recruits, however, are not yet committed (at least not to UM). How much impact do you think it has on a recruit if a fellow recruit/friend signs up with a particular team or decides not to? If one of the "build a wall" recruits decides to come here, do you think it helps pull the other ones here as well? Does it depend in part on the position (e.g., OL, where you have 5 starters at all times on the field vs. HB where only one is on the field at a time so your friend could also be your competition)?

Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

A few questions about LB recruiting: What LB position does Singleton project to in Don Brown's scheme? How many LB's is the staff looking to take?  I've noticed that they have been ramping up their pursuit of some SAM linebackers (Faison-Walden, Shanon Reid, Falaniko), any reason for this?

Hypothetically, if we were to make the playoffs, at what point would we start to see that affect our recruiting? Immediately? Next years class? Beyond?

We stay generally where we are? We recruit at a top 5 level. There's not really room for improvement. It's not like recruits are all of a sudden going to stop wanting to go to Alabama or Ohio State. We recruit at an elite level. Maybe replace a 3* or two with a 4*?

So you expect Michigan to go into Ohio and take the best players from Ohio State? You expect Michigan to go down south and pry players away from the likes of Alabama? Fact is, Michigan doesn't have a PRIME recruiting ground like those other top programs do. As long as those other programs are good, Michigan isn't going to do much better on the recruiting trail. Michigan always has been and always will be in on the top guys against these other top programs. But we always seem to lose out due to distance from home or location. Michigan recruits at a top 5 level. There's not much we can do better. We already go toe-to-toe with the top programs. Fact is, the vast majority of top players in the South want to stay down south. The vast majority of top players in Ohio want to go to Ohio State. Michigan does EXTREMELY well given the recruiting limitations we have. There's nothing to say that's going to improve. As bright as our future is, Ohio State isn't going anywhere. Alabama isn't going anywhere.

Ok, but it is only logical to look at our recruiting as a whole and see the room for improvement. If we are doing what we are right now without having won anything in over a decade, going to the playoffs will help.

Also, our style of recruiting under Harbaugh has not been settling in one place. Going to the Playoffs will increase the amount of kids who have us on their radar off the bat simply because we are winning. Cali, SEC country, Texas, and the Midwest our plenty enough for us to pick and choose and get the 3rd best class consistently, even pushing OSU and Alabama every now and then.

Where can Michigan capitalize with so many traditional powers having terrible seasons/ speculation on firing coaches? A lotr of top-tier jobs could come open this year. Think we'll see more early in-season firings as programs line up for the few hot coaching targets.

I second this question because it could lead to at least some interesting projections in the absence of much substantive stuff on the futures of some coaches at least yet. The whole idea of "in the midst of chaos, stability....and by the way, playoff contention if we play our cards right" might actually be enough to swing a kid here and there, I would imagine. Not expecting huge shifts, but I imagine you could potentially flip someone in the confusion.

Definitely a little early (and fun!) to project. I bet Texas makes it official at some point to throw their hat in the Herman ring early; Strong being put in charge of a hapless D is an awful position to be in as the head coach under fire. I'll also eat a lemon if Coach O is at LSU next year. Hoping we can get a few additional top tier guys just as we lost a handful in that position in '14.
