Steve Racine wins final CCHA Rookie of the Week Award
Freshman goaltender Steve Racine stood on this head this past weekend. Holding ferris to two goals the entire weekend and defeating them in the shootout on senior night.
These are the final CCHA weekly awards and Steve Racine has been named the Rookie of the Week. Michigan is getting hot at the perfect time. They face northern this weekend in the CCHA Playoffs First Round at Yost. Best of 3 game series. All start times will be 7:35pm with TV still TBA.
Good for Racine, now let's win the last CCHA tournament and return to the NCAA tournament. The circumstances are dire, but I recall a couple years ago channeling some similar magic.
Hopefully Racine will now stand on his head throughout the tournament(s).
