Most of them are not, actually. However, the ones that are, they're really bad. There is actually a bunch of them who believe that Ash is going to put a wall around NJ and start keeping all of the top players away from Michigan, OSU, etc.

I met a few Rutgers fans in downtown Ann Arbor before the game this year and they were very friendly dudes. They were actually trying to bet me that Michigan would win by 40. They admitted they were terrible at sports and in some weird way this allowed them to enjoy it more because the low expectations kept them relaxed.

are RU's most frequent all-time opponents.  Both in the PL today, of course.

A list of RU's 10 most frequent opponents does give a sense for what their old die-hard fans grew up on:

3 current Patriot League schools (L&L + Colgate), 2 current Ivys (Columbia, Princeton), 2 schools that no longer play football (NYU, Stevens Tech), Army, and 2 current FBS schools (Syracuse & WVU).

Not reading it but this is the price Rutgers has to pay for joining this league.

We have to put up with them weighing down everyone's seed line and SOS. So they have to have their state pillaged by actual teams.

Four things:

1.  Peanut butthurt and jeally is funny right there.

2.  Not to be PC, but is Butthurt really appropriate anymore?  Is it homophobic? Pro anal-rape?  Against trying something different once in awhile...?

3.  Jabroni is a much better term.

4.  Is there a new word for Douche Bag?    To me the only meaning of significance is the type of guy it describes.  I forget that it is a women's hygene product and probably not a term to use at work.

Graduation Day is ultimately about the 415 students who are graduating.  They arguably should get to vote on their speaker, instead of the principal deciding on such.

...do I need to hear another hater? Harbaugh is just so far ahead of these other college coaches when it comes to promoting the program and himself. It just reminds me of the Internet boom in the late '90's....lots of smart people sitting around watching other people with great (and bad) ideas making millions...and saying why didn't I think of that.

"the guy who wants the NCAA to drop "student" from "student-athlete"

Wut?

"I suggest we drop the term "student-athlete" for consistency."

One NJ player is trying to get NJ players to stay in state with a Fence in NJ movement. Partridge followed up by tweeting a photo of recruits zip lining to Michigan over a NJ border fence.

I love how these guys act like they've cracked the code and figured out that college coaches go to areas with a lot of talent because they would like those talented players to attend their universities.

Yes, right, congratulations, brilliant detective work.

Who is Steve Politi of NJ.com?

OT: For those of us who are somewhat familiat with Metropolitan New York/Northern New Jersey, MGoBloggers might want to know that there is a Paramus High School AND a Paramus Catholic High School.

Among the more famous people who attended Paramus High School are Elaine Zayak, the 1982 World Champion Figure Skater; Stacy Dash, an actress who appeared in the film and TV show Clueless; Spero Dedes, the radio play-by-play announcer for the New York Knicks; Jamie Gold, winner of the 2006 World Series of Poker; Matt Ghaffari, 1996 Olympic Silver Medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling; and Steven Temares, CEO of Bed Bath & Beyond and co-owner of Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League.

Among the more famous people who attended Paramus Catholic High School besides Jabrill Peppers and Rashan Gary are Anne Donovan, a member of the National Basketball Hall of Fame, having been a national champion as a player at Old Dominion, a Gold Medal winner as a player on the 1984 and 1988 USA teams and the head coach of the 2008 USA team, and head coach of the 2004 WNBA champion Seattle Storm; and David Brock, founder of Media Matters for America.

Wasn't this the dude that slammed Harbaugh for being "fake" at the Big Ten's media day and went on to write an entire article about how amazing and "real" Kyle Flood is?

... I just actually emailed the dude, because I'm irritated.  I usually don't do that.  Here is my email to him.  Will update if he replies.

"Just read/watched your Jim Harbaugh commencement speaker article.  While I'm a Michigan fan, I'm not going to argue with your opinion about it being a recruiting advantage.  That's your opinion, that's fine.

I did take issue with this statement (below), because it is at best lazy journalism and at worst intentional misrepresentation of the facts to fit your narrative.  I'm fairly sure that is not taught in journalism courses.

"Calling him a great leader and educator, Paramus Catholic has announced that Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh will speak at its commencement this spring. What's the real reason that Harbaugh — the guy who wants the NCAA to drop "student" from "student-athlete" — is coming here and that Paramus Catholic wants him? Watch the video above to find out.

When Harbaugh made that comment about "student-athlete" it was clearly a shot at the NCAA for doing everything it can to increase the power of big football schools while reducing access to high school student athletes.  He is saying the way the NCAA makes rules, it may as well give up the facade of being about student athletes.  This is very, very different than how you portray his comment in the short paragraph before your article.  So, my question is this: Are you just lazy or intentionally misrepresenting facts to fit your narrative.  Would appreciate a response.

Thanks,

If this entire week has taught me anything it's that there are a ridiculous amount of dumb fucks working in sports media. One more piece of drivel is going to cause me to throw my laptop across the room.

turd ferguson

If that happens and the laptop breaks, do we get fewer fire Beilein discussions?

Because if that's the case, you should read today's Shawn Windsor's article arguing that Deyonta Davis going pro after a year is good for MSU because future prospects will see that Izzo can even prepare players for a quick leap to the NBA.

When are commencement speeches by coaches going to be banned? A lot of this really is about other coaches being unable/ unwilling to work as hard as Harbaugh.
