Stephen Hopkins team played their first playoff game today against a hot Grapevine defense. He ran 26 times for 167 yards. Had 1 catch for 26 yards. 3 touchdown runs of 17, 24 and 2 yards. I couldn't get much video but I did get a couple pics, one of him scoring on Jerry Jones 60 yard HD tv. I'll try to get it posted although it doesn't seem to be working. Stephen was totally dominant in this game and was obviously the best player on the field. The team won 48-18 and will play Cedar Hill next week (number one team in Texas.)

Yeah, I saw that, and the Tater went offline. (I didn't think Tater was EVER offline :-D ). And you weren't asking to start an "Anally Rape RichRod Thread Aarrgghh", and thought it might deserve a header since people would be interested, so here we are. Just remember me when people are negging me to oblivion. LOL

I do appreciate it because I wanted to get the line up on Hopkins but hated to see it get lost. He was a beast today. He reminded of of young Minor. He made great cuts but so many times just ran right over people.

I'm glad you suggested a comparison to Minor. I have not seen Hopkins play but hope he is a physical runner like Minor. All we hear in the TV broadcasts is that Minor's physical running style makes our offense a different team. I hope we are recruiting more physical RBs, and not just the speedy little waterbugs.

I have been watching him and Tony Drake this year and can tell you that Hopkins is very "Minor-like" while Drake is "Noel Devine-like" (and I'm not trying to make an over-the-top comparison.) Still can't paste or insert a picture. Any suggestions anyone? Sorry for my ignorance here.

Cox and Hopkins are both about 6ft tall and while I don't know exactly where Cox is listed on weight (last I saw it was around 215) I know Hopkins is playing around 235. I agree that, just as we have stockpiled little ninjas, it is nice to have a couple guys in the Minor mold.
