The stepbrother of Antonio Bass

Submitted by MGoUberBlue on

Isaiah Robertson is 6'3" 190 pounds 4.6 forty numbers....wide receiver.

He is the top recruit in the Chicago (Naperville) area in his junior year.  Antonio wants to see him in a Wolverine uniform.

His father lists his name as Isaiah Primetime Robertson. Check out his Facebook page.  The kid looks like a football player.

The injury that Antonio Bass suffered in spring practice changed the future of Wolverine football for several years.  He was destined for stardom but is fortunate to be able to walk as the injury was so severe, even though it occurred in a non-contact manner.

I apologize if this has been posted previously, but I have not seen it.

The two players I can think of that I would have most loved to see as multi-year starters are Antonio Bass and Matt Gutierrez. (Not that I didn't like Henne. Loved him. I just wish Gutierrez had gotten his shot).

As bad as the injury was for Bass, the fact that he was able to get a Michigan degree was a great story and one that I wish was a little more emphasized by the media. So few players go to the NFL from college, getting a degree from a top school should be stressed more. It's insane to me that anyone would ever choose any SEC school over Michigan. (Edit: I'm sure an argument could be made for Vandy).

Bass went to the high school down the road from me (like 3 miles) Jackson High. Cool story bro, right? Haha. Also, my wife did gymnastics with his little sister. Even cooler right?

Obviously I always rooted for him to do well. I didn't know him whatsoever seeing he is about 7 or 8 years older than me, but when he went to UofM I obviously learned about him. It sucked seeing him constantly get hurt, there's nothing cooler than a guy from your home town go on to big things. P
