The guy has this way of communicating where he says things just the right way where it is authentic, obviously heartfelt, but never put on, sappy, or anywhere near phoney.  People who didn't see but will watch at midnight, the office tour and his answers to the last couple questions are worth your time.

they didn't talk any football strategy or anything it was more of an interview with personal questions about family and Michigan related stuff like "if you could have anyone to speak to the players who would it be?"

I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.

This is actually much older tradition. My dad always refered to them as ohio, I think lots of the coachs used to do that, it isn't a new thing, just Coach Hoke bringing back some old things.

Saying it that way for brevity's sake, saying that way to inflame, or saying it that way out of ignorance?  Many folks here in upstate NY have no idea that there is a difference between Ohio and Ohio State.  My wife referred to "Ohio" for the first year or so we knew each other.  This obliviousness to the difference might be the worst insult.

Sadly, many folks here also have to be informed that there's a difference between Michigan and Michigan State.

Every time I hear him speak, he makes me crack a smile much in the same way Denard does. His uncontainable love for Michigan is contagious and really gets to the heart of what it means to be a wolverine.

There were at least two facts I learned (don't want to spoil it for anybody) that made me appreciate Brady Hoke and his love for Michigan football even more.

Most of it was stuff that I have already heard, but hearing it again, just makes you like the guy even more. He has a way of answering questions that makes you feel he is an everyman, while simultaneously making you realize he knows exactly what he's doing.

He doesn't seem like an extraordinarily complex man, and I can see how that puts people at ease when they're talking with him.

His public persona at least suggests that he is utterly incapable of feeling sorry for himself, and he would sooner commit seppuku than blame someone else for anything that occurs on the football field.

I cant see him under any circumstances ever telling students/alumni to get a life.

These, along with the revitalization of a competent defense, are things that comfort me, put a smile on my face, and make me prouder than ever to say Its Great to be a Michigan Wolverine.

Accountability is such a strong part of Hoke's public persona that no matter how cautious you are of RR's feelings(which yeah, I'm not very) the comparison is going to come up.  Rodriguez got paid a lot of money to not suck.

brushed aside.  When asked where his father played football, Hoke replied "he played for Woody Hayes" ... instead of  ... well that name I won't speak / write either.  So his dad played for Woody, yet Brady grew up a huge Michigan fan ...  I guess we don't need to guess about this any further, but that was very interesting.

I doubt a day goes by that Coach Hoke doesn't thank God for this opportunity.  He was cast with the same mold as Bo ...
