i cant recall ever hearing about this kid in the 2012 recruiting mix... but just read this post on ESPN
Four-star Cincinnati Moeller receiver Monty Madaris has set up his first three official visits, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.
On Friday, Madaris will visit Michigan State, and he will take a trip to nearby Cincinnati the following week beginning Dec. 16, Moeller coach John Rodenberg told The Enquirer. Michigan, which Madaris has said previously is right around the top of his list, will get a visit in early January, The Enquirer also reported.

He's been mentioned, but not often. Talented, athletic kid, but we got in on him late, and it was mostly said when we offered him that he was an MSU lean. Haven't really heard anything about him since this summer.

Probably nail on the head. There was a paywalled article on Rivals about Chesson deciding when he was going to announce. If I were a betting man, I'd say the end of WR recruiting is coming that day.

I'd love to hear what Meyer is telling these guys. Within minutes of getting installed as head coach, he's getting Diggs, Spence, Wright, DIamond and Dunn on campus within a couple weekends. Damn, man ... Noah Spence wasn't even interested in OSU beforehand, and neither was Wright (I think).
I'm not in the FEAR URBAN camp, but I no like what I see. He pulls in five or six top tier guys, it's gonna be pretty rough sledding, especially if those are the same dudes we want playing for us.
Mattison and Hoke uber alles. Please.

He has two national championships to his credit. Last year, when we thought we might get Les Miles, we were trash talking about how he would woo recruits away from Dantonio by flashing his NC ring. There isn't much that speaks louder succeeding at the highest level.

how many of these kids were waiting for some decision, any decision, to be made about the next coach in cbus before taking their official visits? Why take an official to talk to Fickell who will be co-official-waterboy-assistant-to-the-assistant-defensive-coordinator going forward? If Ron Zook had been available earlier, they may have been waiting for him to be named osu coach before deciding to visit. We'll have to expect that osu will have a decent recruiting class, and it looks like we'll still have an equal or better class.

Zook at OSU? Oh, my, yes...that'll replace the models in my dreams tonight.

having a non-interim head coach to meet with. Why waste a trip to talk with Fickle? Pent up demand.

Also, since this thread rambles a bit anyway, for those who are interested, J.P Holtz, the Penn State TE decommit Mattison visited last week, visited Pitt this weekend. That's probably the logical first step, considering he's from Pittsburgh. But somehow it makes miss Brown even more...

Seriously? Is that how you make a sentence?

We also have offered TE Sam Grant who is Kalis' teammate. He will try to take his official with Kalis.

I'm not really good at reading tea leaves, but this doesn't seem like good news for us.
I just hope the dude doesn't end up at Ohio.

Word at Rivals is that the Michigan coaching staff took their look, and moved on. Time to give up on Diggs, guys.
