For our boys on that squad in Minny. GRIII has shown the same lack of aggression from his days in A2 and Morgan is extremely undersized and his offensive weaknesses have been magnified. Both signed my "We On" shirt a couple days ago and were extremely nice, but I wish things were working out for them a little better. Nik on the other hand is going to be great and his parents are the nicest people ever. I told his parents I wanted to take a picture with the people that "made" Nik and the mother replied, "I remember that night like yesterday" which made the entire crowd laugh. My cool story bro moment...

Yeah, I've caught a few of their games.

Every frustrating thing about GRIII at Michigan has held true in summer league. His lack of aggression. Just flat out disappearing for large stretches at a time. I'm pretty sure he has either taken the least or tied for the least amount of shots of any Wolves starter in each game thus far. In fact, I think the Wolves bumped him from the starting line up in their last game and he barely played, which probably isn't a good sign.

J-Mo is just not an NBA player. Off the top of my head, I think something like half of his shot attempts have been blocked. He just doesn't have the size or athleticism to compete with NBA bigs. The fact that he's only played in 2 out of the 4 games for a guy trying desperately to make the squad probably tells you all you need to know.

GRIII looked more energetic last night, but in limited minutes off the bench.

TV shot of JMo on the bench: He looked very sad.  (Was before I checked the final stats to see he didn't play at all, but he must have known he wasn't going in.)  But go engineering!

Darius Morris, on the other hand, is in the starting line-up for the Spurs and looking very good, though they were pretty successful last year and have all (or most?) of their guys coming back.  But they like him enough to have an interview with him on the front page of their website:  "Morris Making Plays."

He'll be facing Trey today right after Kings v. Wolves (7:30 Eastern).

Sounds like he's doing well in the summer league. His "Day 8 Grade" was an A- with a comment about how he's improved in his NBA sophomore season.

Not one of ours, but good to hear Glen Rice's kid is doing well.

Trey's biggest problem on offense is that he is terrible scoring around the rim. IIRC, his FG% inside of 3 feet is 51%. League average is 64%. The fact that he can't score inside has relegated him to a jump shooter, and he just hasn't shot well.

The whole not scoring at the rim has really hurt his game too, because he barely ever gets to the free throw line. I think he averaged like 1.5 FTA a game his rookie year, and I believe at one point he went nearly an entire month and had like 2 free throw attempts. He just abandoned attacking the basket totally, which in turn makes him easier to guard on the perimeter.

He has to figure out how to score and score efficiently or people are going to start calling for his starting job.
