Congrats for Nik... Last night for me was really feeling bad about not advancing, but today it really hit me that last night was probably the last time I'd watch JMo, Nik, and most likely Glenn in Michigan uniforms, and I never truly realized just how much I loved this team.  I just really want to skip forward to November and start the 2014-15 season now.

Just passed Stauskas on State St. about an hour ago. I wanted to hug him and tell him not to go but I choked and said nothing instead. Probably for the best.

For what it's worth, he was on his way to the Academic Center. A day after what may have been his last game as a Michigan player and he's still a student, first and foremost. Congratulations to Nik for all his past and future success.

I do know 19 year olds. Imagine yourself as a freshman in March and your rich uncle takes notice of your Xbox and Facebook talents. He offers you a six figure job as VP of the mailroom. You start in July - and here's some walking around money from an agent friend of his. So, do you go to class? It's not a stretch to say these soon to be millionaires will not be carrying books to class this spring.

I am getting a "woody" over hearing he got the honor of being named to the Wooden team?

And no, I am not ghey. Just a play on words for some of you uptight blue hairs on here.

I like this - the second announcement of another honor bestowed on Nik Stauskas in the course of the last few hours. We could probably become spoiled if we're not careful, eh?

In all seriousness, on a list with Cleanthony Early, Russ Smith, Sean Kilpatrick, Casey Prather and a few others puts you in some pretty select company for this season's purposes. Interesting that only two freshmen made the list this year - Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker.

Congratulations yet again, Nik!

Close your eyes and listen to an interview by both ... the audio resemblance, both in tone and speech pattern (and accent obviously), is very close.  Not saying Nik is anywhere near the same stratosphere as the Great One, but he was our Great One this year. Hope he stays to be the NCAA POY in 2015 and a top 5 draft pick in next years NBA draft.  There are more important things than money - like being an M icon forever !!!
