ESPN Insider article on Embiid and how his foot injury impacts the draft.  Relevant part is at the bottom where Ford lists the players invited to the green room for the draft.  This is the first I've seen on what players were invited, and I know from some of Nik's interviews that he was hoping to be there.  Very cool for him indeed.  Assuming he accepts the invite, here's hoping for two straight years of seeing one of ours putting on a random NBA team's hat and holdling up a jersey.  Here's my hope for his new uni...

Do our coaches get to go too? I loved seeing Coach B's smile when Trey's name was called last year. Congrats and good luck Nik!

Brendan Quinn reported today that Stauskas has accepted the invite:

Nik Stauskas will be on the biggest stage in New York next Thursday.

The former Michigan guard has received and accepted an invitation to be in the green room at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn during next week's NBA draft, he told MLive in a text message today.

The Pistons could have very easily had Burke at point guard and Stauskas as the shooting guard. That's not trying to elevate anyone's value. They would be taken about where they should be taken.

All the talk down here is Stauskas or Doug McDermott at #9.  Most seem to think it will be McDermott though.  Gary Harris gets a little talk, but his height and late season 3PT FG% has pushed him below the other two.  If the Hornets pick Nik, then it'll be great going to the games, especially when they play the Jazz, Knicks, and whoever GR3 and Mitch go to.

I used to be assistant manager of that arcade back in 1995~96. Did you work at subway? We used to trade free games and video rentals for subs and Wendy's. Haha

How can Adidas make such solid unis and apparel for the NBA, but when it comes to making anything Michigan or collegiate in general, they look like they came straight from K-Mart
