Walton has really improved.  He would not have hit all of those free thows at the end of the gam earlier in the year.  He seems much more comprtable running the offense also.

It's incredible how State is the only team that has had any injuries. We're very fortunate to be amongst the other 350 Division I teams who have not sustained a single injury this year.

How State can survive against such tremendously adversity is just beyond me

MGoBlue had their own writeup as well (LINK). To review Stauskas' week:

Opening the week, Stauskas tied a career-high 26 points as U-M defeated No. 10 Iowa (Jan. 22) and held the Hawkeyes to a season-low 67 points. He added five rebounds, five assists, a block and a steal, while going 8-for-14 from the field (57.1 percent) and 4-for-9 (44.4 percent) from long range. Closing the week at No. 3 Michigan State, Stauskas showed no signs of letting up as he ended with 19 points as he went 7-for-12 (58.3 percent) from the field followed with a 5-for-6 performance from behind the arc.

Walton was limited in the Iowa game due to illness, of course, but came up huge against Michigan State, going 4-8 from the field including 2-2 from three-point land and, most importantly in this game perhaps, 9-10 from the stripe. Phenomenal stuff.

In these two players, if I did the math correctly, you would be looking at the two highest percentage shooters over the last five games that have play over 100 minutes. They have been ever-present and contributing big in conference play.

Can't underestimate the difficulty of going into Breslin in a good game, with the defensive Zenmaster planning for you and throwing some new wrinkles your way, and coldly draining big three after big three.

Has Stauskas up to number 16 in this year's first round.  Madness! I don't think he has the explosive leaping ability or or strength or lateral quickness to go in the lottery but I could see him going top 20.

CBS named Nik National Player of the Week as well. Apparantly Gary "kicked in the face by a mule" Harris's grabbing and pulling on jersey's didn't impress people.
