State invited some top-100 2019 football recruits to the game today

Submitted by Arb lover on

At the basketball game today a Michigan State fan/booster pointed out to me around a dozen young gentleman he said were top 2019 football recruits and their sponsors there to watch State dominate Michigan, you know, to help get over the little brother mentality and give them in-state credibility. The guy had a badge so I assumed he knew his way around the Breslin. I wasn't going to post anything here, but then I was able to verify that a bunch of quality football recruits were in town visiting State this weekend, so for what it's worth here's who was in East Lansing today for the game (essentially all of MSU's in-state 2019 targets):

Who knows if this helps to change anything, but it was nice of Sparty to pick up the tab for these kids to watch the beatdown.

Julian Barnett (verbal to state)  6-2 180 lb Ath, 4 star #84 on rivals

Dwan Mathis (verbal to state) 6-4 185 lb QB, 4 star #92 on rivals

Spencer Brown (verbal to state) 6-6 295 lb OT, 4 star #212 on rivals

Devontae Dobbs (undecided) 6-4 270 lb OT, 4 star #27 on rivals (guy's still growing)

Jaren Mangham (undecided) 6-2 217 lb RB, 4 star #194 on rivals

Lance Dixon (undecided) 6-2 193 lb OLB, 3 star

Michael Fletcher (undecided) 6-5 233 lb SDE, 3 star

Adam Berghorst (undecided) 6-7 245 lb SDE, unranked

Also two not yet signed (but not exactly want types) 2018 recruits:

Dashaun Mallory (undecided) 6-3 260 lb DT, 3 star #840 on 247

Jalen Nailor (undecided) 5-11 170 lb WR, 3 star #875 on 247

Edit to add that Allen Trieu verified the recruits had come specifically to see the game today.

I'd love to see Dobbs come to Michigan, but all insiders seem very skeptical and down on the possibility. I'm so disillusioned by OL recruiting that I'd gladly see Brown flipped.
