Starting lineups not announced over PA (and on board) yesterday
Don't know if it was mentioned in the game thread or not -- neg away if so -- but when I was at the game yesterday, I couldn't help but notice that the starting lineups (with player pics on the scoreboard, etc.) weren't announced over the PA.
IIRC, they announced starting lineups last year, so I don't think it's just a "Harbaugh thing."
Anyone else notice this?

The starting lineup is viewable in the box score pdf on MGoBlue.

the PA announcer, scoreboard operator, and ESPN were all too starstruck and distracted by all the hoopla surrounding Michael Jordan and Jumpman.
Now that we've put it all behind us, things should return to normal next week.
(If I'm wrong and we find out there's once again no starting lineup given, well, then bookmark this thread and come back to neg me.)

did he play and if not any news on his status? the only rumors I've seen were his problems are academic in nature?

I thought that was weird that they didn't do that but I'm not sure I noticed it with any other game either. And I watched a lot of games thus far this weekend.

At first I figured it was because of Speight's interception, that perhaps the TV crew didn't have time. But if the starting lineups weren't announced at the game either, perhaps it was a coaching decision to keep things under wraps as much as possible.
I wonder what will happen next week. Will Lewis play? Will Stribling sit? Will Kugler start for Braden? Will Bredeson? Will Braden be back?

Who cares? (I actually do to. Missed being able to shout this).

broadcast team on ESPN who was starting at quarterback or that Lewis wouldn't play, either. Harbaugh being Harbaugh. It's all good.

is that announciing the starting lineups like days gone by, is it doesn't fit the "tv schedule". I can't comment any further as I know little about it but I feel certain there is a Mr Oz behind the curtain is holding a stopwatch that makes decisions to the second.
Complete hijack/tangential aside: I nearly fell down laughing when the hearing-impaired caption read "Mike McCrayon" the tackle.

I feel like I haven't seen college starting lineups in a long time...
They usually just highlight players as they go, but I don't recall seeing the starts with height and weight and hometown listed in recent memory.

But did they announce the Slippery Rock score? That's the real question...
