1,000,000 apologies if this has previously circulated. The only pics I remember had a piece of the press box missing, not the whole thing.

Wow, the inside of those luxury boxes looks really good. And I don't think the view is half bad either.
Our fair stadium is getting fairer...yeah and as for those luxury boxes, if I every win the lottery, pencil me in...
I am working on a solution to get one of those for the 2011 season for family and "friends"...if you are seriously interested contact me personally at [email protected].
Michael Weber.
To see a game from up there, but most of the time I'd prefer to be in the middle of the student section standing on a bench singing Hail to the Victors at the top of my lungs.
has already been posted, but does anyone know if they are selling the bricks from the old press box. my dad has one of the old wooden benches and would be a nice piece to add.
Don't remember the article it was in, but they said they tried to reuse as much material as possible and weren't going to sell anything to the public.
I mean, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the old press box was made of metal and didn't have any brick to it.
No, they're not selling anything from it, which depressed me greatly. I wanted a seat cushion that Bob Ufer once planted his butt on.
I think they should figure out where Bob called games and find the new seat directly below it and somehow call attention to it. I think it would be awesome to say you sat in the Bob Ufer seat.
..I certainly don't miss that white stuff covering the field.
I'm sure you are accustomed to a whole different kind of "white stuff."
Somebody cue Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five.
At my local ice arena there's a second-floor restaurant between the two ice surfaces, and it has windows overlooking each one. It's becoming a popular place for parents to sit and watch games out of the cold and with good food, and that's good for the restaurant. However, when somebody scores a goal, those parents yell and pound on the glass, but only the people inside the restaurant -- most of whom aren't concerned with that game -- can hear them. They want to be warm and comfortable and yet still be part of the game atmosphere, but they never seem to realize it doesn't work that way. You're either sitting in the arena being a part of the game atmosphere, or you're sitting inside observing the game atmosphere.
The moral of the story: if you want to be heard at a football game, don't sit inside.
Thanks for the links, I hadn't seen the complete removal, yet. The cranes in the pics remind me of the time they built the Dental School back in the 70's(?). They had the Engineering Dept help with the project (yes I'm an engineer). So the process included having a large crane in center of construction that facilitated the movement of all the heavy "stuff". Ultimately the crane's location would become the courtyard for the Dental School. However, they forgot to leave an exit for the crane and completely built around it. So in the end, they had to remove some of the South side to allow for the removal. So the story goes!!!
So, how did they get the stadium cranes in there? Or even out?
Pardon the stupid question but they are going to replace it with matching bench seats right? Any guesses how many seats that particular area will now hold?
This area will be chair-back seating. $2000 per seat per season, plus the cost of season tickets. Not sure about how many, but it's gotta be at least a couple thousand I'd think.
EDIT: Here's a pic from the designs: http://www.umich.edu/stadium/project-description/regents/50-On-Field.jpg
I sat in Section 19 for the tOSU game and it's a little sad to see just a hole to the ground. But, I am glad to think it will be louder in the Big House now (not that the old Press Box had anything to do with that). Ah, progress.
